I've seen a few people complain about Salah & even Solanke because they're 'chelsea rejects.'

Is that really a bad thing?

KDB?
Matic?
Lukaku?

Granted, a few of their rejects are proper shit, but being a 'Chelsea reject' when you're a kid isn't really a stamp of failure (and we'll start seeing this more and more with Man City kids too in the coming years)

if solanke were a Chelsea reject we wouldn't be going to a tribunal to agree a fee !

Chelsea rejects are like Madrid rejects. Not anywhere close to being shite, but because people see us at a similar level, those players are clearly not good enough

Crock of shit for me

We have signed 2 players Chelsea have binned, ok 'reject' is pushing it. But this is not why people are ranting is it? It's because this is all we have managed. Is it the same as the positive cretins, and we have many on here, that are convinced we have done ok cause we 'nearly' signed such and such? Is it fuck. We are a shambles.

Solanke looks like he could prove to be a bargain. Don't see how he's in the reject list seeing as how he refused their contract offer.

I think there's some law now that Chelsea need to own every player at some point, so it's inevitable.

It's kinda the level we are at. We are never going to break the bank for a player, for fee and wages. Look at this summer, even with the money we have we can't get the transfers over the line. Taking punts at Chelsea / others (courtinho) rejects is our forte and sometimes it works

Matic is limited but offer hight and some muscles which Mourinho loves as he need two defensive midfielders for his gameplan.

Chelsea has 25 players on loan some of whom can prove to be very useful squad signings.

Same with City. They have hoovered up a lot of promising young talent some of whom are upset at the lack of first team opportunities - Jordan Sancho for example.

He's not going to play with two defensive midfielders though. Carrick wil be back up, Fellaini is supposedly on his way and the midfield three will be Pogba, Herrera and Matic. It's a very good three but neither of the first two are ever going to be anything but attacking, or at best box to box, midfielders.

I came to post this, or similar words with the same meaning anyway.

The same will soon apply to City.

Both clubs have bought 20² clubs each & a few small countries for good measure just to use as feeder clubs & launder money & players through to circumvent FFP & general morality laws. At some point soon between them I suspect they will own part of every child over the age 3 kicking a ball anywhere in the world.

So technically Chelsea are a "Solanke reject" just as we once were a Sterling reject hmmm.. clearly, everyone eventually gets rejected at some point.
