So what are people's thoughts about tomorrow's quarter finals.

I'm going, anyone else going?

I have a good feeling about this one!
 
Would like to see Kelly, Coates, Bellamy and Henderson start, other than that, not really sure. Would like to see us win though obviously, two wins and a draw out of those three would almost be like a dream.
 
I think we will see a team similar to this:

Reina
Kelly
Skrtel
Coates
Flanagan
Spearing
Lucas
Henderson
Downing
Carroll
Maxi/ Bellamy

Mix of youth and experience there and we can use others as subs. Our next game is not until Monday after all.

Kenny did warn fans that he may play some kids for this one. This game is too soon and should have been rescheduled - the FA are cocks

I'm not worried about the kids playing to be honest. The ticket was only £25 so its not that bad.
 
Sky were talking yesterday about this and spoke with confidence that we'll be seeing a very young liverpool side.

I didn't think so and still don't.

Yeah, I'd say we'll have lots of the more experienced players in it. Even if we didn't play most of the players from Sunday, we could still field:

Reina
Kelly---Carra--Skrtel---Flanagan/Aurelio(is he fit?)
Maxi---Spearing--Lucas---Bellamy
----Carroll--Kuyt

That's only four of the team from Sunday, and no youngsters getting a start(who haven't already played a good few games for us).

I'd like to see Henderson in CM for this one, alongside Spearing I guess. Lucas and Adam deserve a rest after Sunday's match.
 
Was tempted to go but never got round to sorting it out so not now.

Was it at the same stage a few years ago when we played Chelsea in the League Cup?

All I remember from that was that we had Itandje in goal and Voronin up front. I'm sure we can come up with a better side this time.
 
Bellamy and Maxi involved in the starting XI alone will offer me confidence.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is likely to make a number of changes to his team for tomorrow's Carling Cup quarter-final against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Romelu Lukaku, Josh McEachran and Salomon Kalou could be drafted in to the first team, while Fernando Torres may get a chance to start up front against his former club.

John Terry's yellow card against Wolves means he misses tomorrow's game through suspension, Raul Meireles is cup-tied, and long-term knee injury victim Michael Essien is also unavailable.

Provisional squad: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Bertrand, Alex, Cole, Luiz, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Malouda, McEachran, Torres, Drogba, Kalou, Sturridge, Lukaku, Turnbull.

With Chelsea having to travel to in form Newcastle, followed by a decisive match against Valencia the following midweek, it'll be interesting to see how seriously they treat the match.

Turnbull is that goalkeeper?
 
i am not cnfident at all about this game... I dont like the way we have written the excuse to loose either. But I still look forward to it. We should be able to treathen their back four if they continue to play them high up the field... But it means we need some pace in the squad.
