This is not an over the top knee jerk reaction. I'm just sad, that people have to see a Liverpool team so shite. So, now we need to do the right thing. Change.

I don't care if we concede an unlucky own goal or Arshavin scores a belter. That 2nd half was so painful to watch, that I'm just amazed. I can't believe that yet again, we approach the 2nd half so defensivly. It was invitable that their goals would come.

Lucas, Degen and N'Gog. You've put yourself in this situation Rafa, now it's time for someone else to have a crack.

The season is over, and if something doesn't change, we're looking at a 6-9th finish this year. Team morale is so low that we might not get out of this spirale and go on a winning streak. Not if Rafa continues to pick Lucas and continues with this defensive control approach. Sad, but true.

Tom and George. Use some of the money you've earned from selling your assets in the US. Sack Rafa, hire a new manager and give him some money to spend in this transfer window.

Change isn't necessary in the manager department just yet.

Where change is needed is with some players - today's 'reaction' after derek zoolander's goal was PATHETIC. The team barely put up a fight. That's not Liverpool. Some posters will blame Rafa, some the players. I don't know where it lies precisely - but something has to give or we'll find ourselves in a really deep hole

The way we reacted after their second goal says it all, our confidence is shot.
I would like to know what he said at the break, cause we came out in the 2nd half playing like a bunch of kids.

We had everything in the first half, why drop 15-20 yards down and invite them to come at us.

unless a large sum of money comes in I don't see the situation changing. basically the problem is we buy but the purchases are offset by sales meaning the margin for error is tiny, where the likes of chelsea don't have to sell but still make big signings. strength and depth.

this summer the cycle is going to continue, mash is sold but the money will have to go on a similar player with no margin for error or we go backs.
look at the list of strikers we've had to sell to buy in the past five years if half were still on the books how much better off would be?

How long can this continue then Andy? I know he's been great for us. But you can't live on old medals and honors, it's about now.

6 defeats in the league in 16 games, twatted out of the CL and the season finished in december. We can't live with that.

Thankfully it's only 243 days until next season.

if Benitez had the money and a magic wand to make Gerrard / Torres play better he would sort it out himself. don't assume a change in manager would mean anything, Hiddink is quite average and couldnt qualify for the world cup with a very good russian side but some people think he's great because he managed a decent 6 months with one of the best squads in Europe (Avram Grant got them to within a penalty of winning the CL), he is also 65 so not a long term manager and Mourinho is exactly the same kind of coach as Benitez but is worse at buying players and is on twice the money

[/quote]I hate Rafa everyone knows that, it's not new information, but for the last 12 months I've been CONVINCED he was the man to win us the league (after four years of thinking he was a lucky chancer who would win fuck all again) and as such I've defended him through thick and thin and accepted the excuses (most of them genuine and acceptable) and been happy to sit and bide my time awaiting the return of OUR title safe in the knowledge that he hasn't lost the players, and isn't overly cautious and he did realise in that glorious 10 game spell last season that wecould actually go out and dominate teams and games, and I've been sure, certain, positive that this was the case and the luck, beachballs, injuries, poor decisions etc would swing in our favour and allow us time to surge past the pretenders and claim our throne.
I was wrong. I don't think Rafa can turn it round and I want a change of manager. As soon as possible.
We need a new man with fresh ideas and a fresh impotus, familiarity has indeed bred contempt.
