Real Madrid vs. PSG. Enough said ! To be honest I'm not sure who I'd like to see win it, two cuntish clubs, probably PSG because Real are the biggest cunts on the planet.

Probably the 2nd most fascinating tie of the round is SPurs vs. Juve. Two teams in top form, but do note that Juve have lost Dybala, Matuidi, Cuadrado, Bernardeschi, Barzagli, Höwedes and Costa to injury (not sure which of them are supposedly out only for this week or for the whole tie).

Not all of them are listed here so maybe some are on their way back : https://www.online-betting.me.uk/champions-league-injuries-and-suspensions.php

I don't think there is any way Juve are going to be comfortable and despite their very impressive current form (they've now won 11 matches in a row across all competitions, and have conceded just one goal in 16 games – an all-time club record) Spurs are themselves in fine fettle in a more competitive league (unbeaten run now 12 matches across all competitions).

Oh mixed that up somehow. Spurs are away in the first leg however maybe that can work in their favour then with Juve having players missing. I'll put Spurs down for either a 1-1 or 2-1 loss in the first leg and then it will all be down to holding their nerve, or not, at Wembley.

We have to score away in the first leg. Do that and we’re golden.

Is bernadeschi out? Thought he scored at the weekend, did he get crocked after that?

I can see the first leg being a 1-1 or 2-2, which wouldn't be the worst result in the world but all i can say is that I am already getting excited to hear the champions league music on Wednesday night.

Spurs are classic bottle jobs too Froggy, I think Juve will have more about them.
History has no bearing on the present as far as the current crop pf players are concerned. In the past month Spurs have beaten both United and Arsenal and put in a fine performance in the 2nd half at Anfield, they also destroyed Real Madrid over two legs and romped their group. They have plenty about them to push Juve to the wire.

I think Spurs will beat Juve handsomely, unfortunately.
I'd prefer all four CL sides to make the 1/4 finals simply because it will ensure no team gets to rest in the battle for 2nd in the PL. So long as we end up going the furthest I'll then be happy !

Its February and we still in the champions league which makes a great change. An away goal or 2 will be required with our defence.

Basel - Man City
Juventus - Tottenham : This will be close and Spurs have a chance.

Porto - Liverpool
Real Madrid - PSG I doubt RM can just turn it on when they feel like it , and they've been shite this season in both the CL and La Liga, so PSG to edge them and disappointingly see the end of Zidane's reign.

Chelsea - Barcelona
Bayern - Besiktas

Sevilla - Man Utd : previously I thought this a foregone conclusion, however United's recent form calls the outcome of this tie into question.
Shakhtar - Roma : unless their league is closed for the winter and this affects their sharpness ?

UPDATE JUVE : Dybala, Matuidi, Howedes, Cuadrado and maybe Barzagli (he picked up a calf hit in yesterday training) are out, Costa and Bernardeschi are fine.

UPDATE PORTO : Felipe is suspended for the first game and Marcano has been injured.

Yet most of that squad managed finish third in a two horse race a few seasons ago. Spurs are a proper bottle job.

And came second last season. For a bottle job they seem to finish quite highly. And almost always above us.

Yeah, having a world class striker who scores 25-30 league goals a season helps, of course it does. But it's not just about Harry Kane, there's quality all over the pitch.

They're a good team and out-performing most others who have better-paid squads and richer owners.

Juve are seeing Spurs off here I'd bet. But tbh I wouldn't discount Spurs getting to the semis at least

Yup. It will happen. On the positive side, I can see Sevilla beating Manure over 2 legs.

I don't think it will happen. There may not be much between them but I reckon Juventus will sneak it over the two legs.

Personally I hope they both lose.

Comment from a Porto supporter on one of their players we need to keep an eye on :

Moussa Marega is a Porto forward that has... quite an interesting approach to technique.
He is a physically gifted player, with both strength and speed, but his gift is his first (and second and beyond) touch is... akin to a rough tree log, soft like barbed wire and delicate like a truck. Balls escape his gravitational field faster than light, he is Champions' League master.

They’ve still won next to fuck all.

I think Juve will beat Spurs, at least I hope so and the cunts get knocked out. Utd will knock out Sevilla.
