I do. Klopp’s been clear all along that a Cb is a priority and most reliable journos have consistently mentioned we’ll move onto cb recruitment next (whilst being specific that are after a high level young player). I think the Colwill transfer would have happened if we’d had encouragement from Chelsea.
We have the means it seems to act when we need to…so I’m excited for the next week. I’m thinking a 30-40m young cb is next.
I have lost track of the squad registration & home grown quota. Do we have room for non-HG player, esp. if Phillips or even Kelleher is/are sold?
I don't disagree about us wanting a defender, it just seems like we used the money allocated for Colwill together with what we got for Fabs and Hendo in order to get Caicedo.
Are there any free/cheap CBs left with top-class potential? We need to unearth another Matip or Gomez.

Whilst quite far from ideal - if we did lose Konate to injury, or someone else. There is a world where we could now play Caidedo as the right CB and use our depth in midfield ahead of him. For our style of football I think he'd work well there if we had to - probably better than Matip at current mobility!
Lets hope we can get this down without any saga. Please Lord - lets get this done.
If you pay the release clause there won't be any saga. I feel really relaxed to know FSG have given Klopp over £110m for signings... I am not as panicked. Inacio and Fofana now and Andre in Jan. 2 MFs and a CB we can mount a title challenge
I ran out of battery on the train but was going to post earlier that given the shit show of today any CB deal is likely to be a straight clause activation - so my earlier post about Inacio might well prove timely!!!

Having watched the game yesterday I'm now almost of the opinion that a LCB to replace Robbo in the team is as important as a new DM.
Unless we ditch the trent midfield experiment, which I think we should.
Or make it full time and sign another RB. But either way we need to address the defence in this window.
Agree with the last part. I have seen nothing yet to convince me that Trent belongs in midfield. He does need proper competition at right back though.
Lavia? If you're spending up to 50m you are 100% expecting him in the first team. Slow transition from fab, maybe. But he was bought for he first team

At least not for this season since his contact was extended. Signing someone like Tim Krul, who is about to join Luton Town would probably have been the smarter thing to do but maybe Adrian's role/influence in the dressing room is too important to do without...
