As far as I am concerned, nobody could really say that all these idiots in destructive mode are Liverpool fans. Remember there are more than 2 football clubs out there, and we had won Champs League last season too. I have been to some of these celebration and found some pricks don't even watch the game let alone a fan of the team, and they thrashed cars and parking meters, just because they wanted to join in the party.

Apologies, I know this is the footie thread. And not just any thread, but 'Celebrating the Title' ! 🙂 However, for the sake of balance and a different perspective, from another arsehole -

(People who leave loads of litter behind themselves are dickheads. People who aim big rockets at buildings are fucking dickheads.).

... its a case of not wanting fellow fans to die and people they meet to die... it's basic common sense... there was a bigger spike in town due to the Atletico game wasn't there... so now what?
Thousands of pissed up folk deliriously singing into the air when app. 1 in 1500 has the virus and it is contagious as fuck. We've all spent the last 3 months in our own gaffes for a reason.

Nobody wants any one to die. More and more people are realising this virus is not what we were told it was ... many people think their own opinion to be basic common sense ... it is not that contagious ... nobody knows the percentage of asymptomatic people, as the tests (PCR, antibody, whatever) are useless ... the reason we've been under house arrest is a very interesting one. (Perhaps they’ll tell us when they implement the Great Reset ?).

YES we all want to celebrate like fucking crazy and it's genuinely shit we can't do it properly but the perspective is somebody will have been accidentally killing somebody, that ain't a trade-off in my eyes at least... there is no argument to be had there ...

There is no science behind 'social distancing', quarantining healthy people, or mask wearing; despite what the tv and the newspapers have been pumping out for the last three months. There definitely is an argument/debate/discussion to be had. But as I said at the start, probably not here. 🙂

i just danced and sang with my kids in the living room ... my soon to be 3 year old had no idea what on earth was going wrong, but was jumping up an down and screaming "Liverpool" ... A few BOSS songs from Madrid etc and I was happy. That's enough celebrating until we win the quadruple next year.

Siya Kolisi celebrated too ... 🙂

Celebrate away chief and of course, you don't want to be a killer but really... conspiracy? The great reset?? WTF?? ... it is not that contagious?

Really... so why have enormous swathes of the entire world basically spent months shutting down and social distancing? That's right... it's a worldwide conspiracy, isn't it...

How foolish of me to believe it wasn't!! And there is no science behind social distancing?? Ermm... if people release microscopic droplets of Virus in their breathe when they are talking or, I don't know say even more when they are singing loudly say... perhaps if they were further away from you or they were wearing a mask that might limit your chances of breathing it in??

I dunno... I'm just guessing... when are we getting told about this reset thing again?

Looks a little bit like them Scientists don't have a clue eh...

Maybe post this opinion and your thoughts behind it and the science behind your opinion in the General Chat section and see what folk think about the issue.

There's an argument for crossover, but yeah, that long post by Ukraine by marriage probably needs a different thread in general chat imo.

Fwiw I didn't join the lads at the ground or at the pier head, despite a huge part of me wanting to, but I'll add that if I did I don't think when taken on the context of the nation of a whole it would have made a blind bit of difference.

Ok, fucking ouch. Feel like boiled shite.

Very happy boiled shite, but rough as fuck nevertheless.

Lucozade, salt & vinegar crisps are on the menu for sure.

Gotta work for a few days next week before the celebration starts again Thursday, so I'm knocking the ale on the head til then & trying to give my liver & head some time to recover!

Made up about winning the title, and by such a points margin Looking forward to City next week, But...

I feel a bit lost now as the rest of the season for me is a bit meaning less. Yes we can hope to extend the points and goal margin, but I find myself a bit down spirited, as next season is a way off yet, and I'll have to wait to see if we can take it to the next level of winning another Title,CL etc and the excitement that brings.

Oh for the love of fucking Christ.

This Donavan fella is a parody account right?
I doubt it.

There's an actual percentage (albeit a small one), who are that used to the drama of cup wins, & saw city win that PL trophy in such dramatic fashion, that they think that means winning.

It doesn't. Winning the league, when you do it well, means winning it every week. I've been celebrating winning the league every game since about fucking January, the Kop certainly have been since that let off when we beat Utd.

That's winning the league 9 times out of 10, not a last minute winner.

I won't lie, I'd have loved, loved to have won it with a last minute equaliser at City on Thursday, just cos its close to fairy tale, but when you're so good, so consistent, relentless, & convincing, a lot of the time you win it in undramatic fashion. That's the way quality teams do it.

That's the that Fergusons Utd did it again & again.

A lot of our younger (or less educated in their history of our club) fans need to learn that.

As for the rest of this season, we have a points total that may be an aim, as well as blooding in some very exciting young players who will almost certainly be needed more than anyone could have imagined a year ago, & we have an amazing chance to prepare for next seasons league whilst our biggest rival has to keep their foot down as they push for trophies, that could be very beneficial, esp if city are banned from the CL next season.

What?

We have lots to play for.. records, blood youngsters, see how they fit in.. farewell to Lallana, possibly Shaqiri and Lovren.

New season is about 8 weeks away.

Jesus christ.

It's definitely been an anticlimax but I don't care.

It's been 30 years. I literally don't remember the last one. I'm just drinking it all in.

It's not like we've been starved of dramatic success (and failure).

Yeah.... inside my comments on the topic were a sizeable lump of sadness that we aren't getting the proper parade and celebration... TOTALLY understand wanting to party... If I'd been younger slimmer and dumber the temptation might have been overwhelming... Please, God, it doesn't go tits up...

I love Liverpool wining as much as anyone, but I guest the way I feel in part has to do with as much the lockdown, and months with out football, took that weekly match day excitement away, and more in part to do with that I relish the battle/fight of going the 38 games plus Cups seeing who is still standing when the final whistle blows...

For me I was like a boxing match where we were taking on City in a twelve round match, and we landed the OK blow in the second round,Great to watch, but when you have paid to watch twelve rounds and it is over in two you are left a bit empty ...

This year was like a main meal (The Title) where as last season was like a banquet Title Runners up, CL,Super Cup,WCC)

For me it is the competition that matters, and not so much the how far we won it this season, although I both love it; and welcome it, and especailly it being so,so long since we won the Title, that besides the City game and a chance to beat them again this season proving that it was no fluke, there is nothing else to play for every game after that will be, to me; like a pre-season game, and just like with pre-season games you can't wait for the first game of the season to start so we can repeat.

(EDIT)... You do realize the under Klopp this is the first season (RE-EDIT) in 4 out of five years that we have not been involved in a European Final, wath would have given us sometime to look forward to

Heh. I've been off the wagon since Thurs and slept for the first time last night, passed out at 2am with a party going on around me.

Ended up playing a 4 hour DJ set on Saturday to a boss party and everyone thinks I'm just happy cos the party's boss but really I'm in like triple celebration mode here.

Still feel like this has been some of the best few days of me life.

Just recall that usually the games this time of year mean nothing for an entirely different reason. Or else, I was meant to care whether we finished fifth or fourth which I had completely stopped doing.

Now I get to watch the best Liverpool side I've ever seen parade through the premiership stress free? I don't know how I'll cope.

Is it your main objective to have a factual error in every one of your posts?
