I agree, but we did sign Suarez, Torres, Alonso, Garcia, Mascherano, Sturridge, Coutinho, Milner, Firmino and zillions of other decent players in fairly recent history before he turned up. I mean, we're not Spurs.

Very smart way of addressing the homegrown status issue too, given the English premium attached to fees (+ reducing wage bill if the likes of Origi and Minamino are offloaded). On a side note, maybe Klopp will be so attached to the young lads that he signs an extension to guide them to glory? 😀 Also provides the opportunity for Gordon (or some of the younger attacking players) to go out on loan perhaps?
