Yep the more I reflect on it, the more I think it was clever by our recruitment team.

The price will be fixed by a tribunal, however Fulham are in a difficult position now to demand more than the agreed January price.

Only bit to sort should be the sign on fee which presumably will be adjusted to take into account lost revenue from Jan to Jun on top of what was offered and agreed previously.

So if he walks away, meh. We all know what happened to Alex Teixiera.

The problem with the tribunal is that future fees might be added. For instance there's a 20% sell on clause attached to the Elliott transfer.

I think Fulham will be motivated to do a deal with us before the summer, and the offer we made on Monday probably still stands.

If they don't do a deal with us, or another PL team, then they run the risk of losing him abroad with zero compensation

That is a better experience than meeting that cockney twat radio host who presented the big breakfast in the 90's, walking his bulldog, across the middle of your game, letting it take a shit, then saying "sorry lads, I don't have a bag", before realising that was not the words he needed to speak in that moment, ruffling through his coat, and using some makeshift tissue to wipe it up, then walking off, leaving a watery diarrhea ridden shit stain in the middle of the pitch. The emperor is many things, but at least he isn't a cunt.
