Thinks he owns the place

To talk about something else, fuck me he was good today.
Had Torres in his pocket and showed so much passion the other players had to get kicked on by it.
Will miss him on the pitch next season.

Legend!

I wouldn't be surprised to see us try and persuade him to postpone his retirement, or at least offer him a coaching job but retain his registration as a player just in case.

Yeah, Rodgers said that last week. They're trying to persuade him to play 1 more year.

He played very well, (he hasn't shown that much passion on the ptich in a long time) but I'm surprsied none of our fans are complaining about his intentional foul on Torres. There's no room in football for that. He should be banned.

Carra should carry on for another season, no doubt about it.

I wrote him off but his performances since coming back into the side have been brilliant.

The commentator on Sky said that Carra and the club had said that a final decision would be made in the summer.

Sounds like he's been asked to reconsider.

Skrtel will leave and probably Coates aswell. Keeping Carra one more season would be excellent

Very good today. He was a bit too close to a second yellow for my liking, but thankfully it didn't happen

Didn't see it myself, but I heard he should have had a penalty given against him late on in the game?

Most things are, but that's what the club ought to do, don't you think? Delaying it a year by keeping a CB who is getting even slower and isn't suited to the style of play won't help things progress.

Agreed. Keeping him another year would be desperation on our part I think, rather than anything else.

Ideally I'd like him to stay & coach new defenders, but regardless, we need to move on, sad as it is.

Was it him or Agger who lost Oscar for the first goal, Agger seemed to be closer to him before the kick was taken but Jamie went with him when he made his run and got nowhere near the ball as Oscar flicked it past Reina

but yes he was generally very good today, although he seemed to think he was reffing the game at some points

Slightly off topic but I thought Reina was shocking, didnt event try to catch anything and nearly spooned one into his own net

From the close up replays, it looks like Agger and Reina had a brief word about Oscar's position when Oscar was standing beside Reina. I'm not sure if they agreed that Agger was supposed to pick him up. Agger then took his eye off Oscar, and the latter started wandering off (all the while behind Cara) before making his run to move out and meet the ball. I think Agger / Reina needed to give Carra a shout as Oscar was coming in from Carra's blindside and it was too late by the time Carra realized it.

Yeah I thought Agger had let him go but it didnt appear as though Carra or Agger were picking up anybody specifically so it was hard to tell. Are we marking man to man or zonal these days? it didnt look like we were set up man to man yesterday

It was indeed Agger who was closer to Oscar but Jamie failed to mark him when the kick was taken.

So I don't really get all the praise he gets. Would it have been Skrtel I doubt he'd have gotten his own thread, at least not full of praise for his display.

I thought Lucas was the most culpable, he moved from the near post, inexplicably. Agger had Oscar marked, but then Oscar moved into a different zone, I don't know whether he was supposed to follow or hold his ground, but there was another player there then infront of Oscar whom should have picked him up and didn't. All in all, a shit set up.
