He has made the LB position his own, and he is accomplished where ever his been played. Where should Klopp play him if we get a competent LB?

He's done a good job but if someone like Alonso, Rose or Betrand, natural good left backs is available, i will shift Milner. We need the width that a natural left footer provides, especially against those damn buses.

I will let him compete for positions in the front 6 except the 9 position, possibly even right back.

I'd play Clyne left and Milner right back for the rest of the season, then at least we'd have 1 fullback who could cross the ball from their side without having to cut inside. Clynes crossing is rubbish as it is so stick him on the left.

Milner could do a lot of damage on the right

He came here to play in midfield, and I'd be surprised if he stays unless he feels that's going to be his position again. He's said repeatedly he doesn't like playing at left back, and I doubt he'll tolerate it for more than this season.

I wonder whether he wishes he stayed at City.

I guess if nothing else he still plays every game here.

He loves it here, why, because the fans and manager appreciate his contribution and a premier league medal at Liverpool will feel way more special than the ones from City

Heh heh.

Maybe he means it would be harder and mean more to Liverpool fans, plus he left them to join us and it would be vindication?

It's a stretch, I know.

A massive stretch. Pretty sure winning the league meant everything to city fans, as it would for us.

There is something underwhelming and plastic about them

Yeah, they obviously followed Chelsea down the path of billionaire owners buying immediate success, and they've never had the glorious history of winning that we enjoy. They're a mediocre club, but they always seemed a bit more "proper Mancunian" compared to United.

But that may be the City fan propaganda, similar to what Everton say about us. Although Everton have more history and also better support. City used to get crowds of 10,000 when they languished in the lower leagues.

Actually, fuck them. They're shite. Worse than Everton.

In midfield...where he's played for the last 15 years.

Well he hasn't really, teams have always struggled to accommodate him there, which is why he was always put wide. That and the fact he has a great engine and great delivery. It's why he came here, because he wanted to play central and regularly, neither of which he was getting at City.
