Watching him in the first half against WH he ain't worth 100K a week...

Maybe he will wake up second half.

This journalist has (apparently) been bang on the money over the last 12 months with city news. So the interest seems genuine.

Toure has one foot out the door and Fernandinho will be 33 before this season ends.

I can see why they might go for him.
 
I'd be made up if he went to citeh. If you think he's as good as any of their first teamers you're fucking nuts. He'd intanstly make them worse.
 
Anyways, I hope he gets a career ending injury any day before now and he signs with someone else. Fuck him.
 
There seems to be little interest from actual German based players to want to play for Klopp. I mean none of his former stars or the young decent ones seem to want to come here because of him. Does Klopp actually like German based players. Also dont want to hear this Can is turkish stuff.

Fernandinho has been one of their most important players, as the sitting defensive midfielder in the team most games. I'd be amazed if that wasn't a position they were looking to reinforce very soon, given his importance to the team and also age.
 
Not fussed who he goes to, he's more concerned with his greasy jig than playing football, one game in ten player who thinks he's better than he is. Good riddance.

It's maddening though that we thought Klopp would be bringing in the cream of German football, yet we can't keep hold of this overrated heap of German junk.

Well, he brought in Karius , Matip, Klavan and now Keita from the Bundesliga (and he certainly knew of Mane from the Austrian Bundesliga).

(Admittedly Klavan, Matip and Klavan are all fucking shit).

But yeah, I did expect a few more German/ Bundesliga signings, and I certainly thought they'd be better than the shite he has bought so far. Although he has tried to buy at least one or two others, before he signed the likes of Wijanldum, Mane and Salah, in fairness.

Another option is that'd he play CB for them.

Guardiola likes his CBs to be able to play - at Barca he had Yaya Toure filling in at the back for a while!

At Bayern Javi Martinez played a lot at the back too I think.
 
I still think he's an asset to the squad. I agree that we want to have better CMs who are starters, but I would want to keep Can in the mix unless we are certain that we are getting more than just Naby Keita joining the squad come the summer.

He's off. And I hope we don't continue to play and improve him just so he's a better player when he joins City. Fuck him off.
 
With Lallana and Coutinho coming back fit we are overstocked with midfielders, this is the time to bench him and start brining Grujic through. If he signs a precontract agreement in January I'd drop him altogether and forget about him. He's not the sort of player who is too good to leave out, he's erratic and prone to drifting out of games. He could become a very good midfielder but if he doesn't want to do it st Liverpool I don't see why we should hold back other players in order to accommodate him.

Klopp seems to think he can do no wrong though so I expect he will continue to start the majority of our matches.
 
On the flip side, he needs to perform at a certain standard to guarantee himself a slot in the Germany squad at the World Cup, so even with a pre-contract he is incentivised to perform.

He is already better than Henderson, imo of course. If there are any doubts, given the trajectory of his progress since he's joined us, he will be a better player than Hendo will ever be in 2-3 years.

If he goes on to join Citeh though, he's dead to me.
