Cards on the table, can we end the 27 years of pain and win the fucker?

Obvs Chelsea are pretty strong favourites right now...but we just need to hang in there. I'd be delighted if the gap was still 6 before we play them 31st January. Keep fighting Reds.

Of course we'll win it.... Or maybe not...... Maybe we'll get in the top four..... Or maybe not..... I deffo need to consult my jinxy oracle. I'll get back to you after January brother @Gary25 🥷

Nope. Chelsea is too far ahead. Unless they lose 2 or draw 3 very soon while we go on a straight run of wins we will never be able to catch up. Given our record we usually draw or lose to those we are expected to win against. So no way. That is being relistic.

This Chelsea team that everyone says is too strong? Is that the same team we beat 2-1 at the Bridge? Because we could easily match 'em.

Weren't we all bricking it about Citeh a few months ago because they were also on a run?

Come on lads, we're one of 4 teams that could win the league. We may not. But we know we're as good as anyone else. How long has it been since we could say that?

At least 2 years since we could say that.

But yeah, otherwise on board with this. It's no bang on cert, but we are in with a shout.

But we're gonna win.

We could win it, or finish anywhere from 2nd to 6th. Very competitive season with little between the Top 6. I'm very confident we will finish Top 4 without a catastrophic implosion however January/February are the key months for us, especially with Mane away for especially for the games away at United and at home to Chelsea (which we realistically need to win).

I don't think it's enough to say we can manage with the squad we've got, they may be enough for Top 4 but if we want to win it, and this season is as almost as good a chance as we've had in the 26 seasons, then we need to strengthen in a couple of positions.

I'm not sure Ojo or rotating our squad to cover for Mane is enough - we are losing our top goalscorer and serious pace on the wing. Sturridge will have to step up big time and we need more wing speed, added to which I'd like to see another defensive-minded or play-making midfielder arrive. We have a great chance but we can't leave it to chance with matches about to arrive thick and fast.

Arsenal have thrown away a couple of titles by doing exactly that (not strengthening in January) due to Wenger's arrogance, over the past 10 years, and they were in stronger positions but also with squads that lacked real strength in depth.

What do you mean "can we win it?".

I told you cunts in July that we were going to win it & the trophy should be handed out at the start of the season to avoid stress.

This is all just the filler material we're seeing now!!!

Can we win it? Yes. Will we win it? Ask me after the january window.

Teams around us seem to be strengthening, we must not stand still.

Add Gabigol, Maia plus one first team CB (I'd settle for two out the three since it's Jan) and I think we will be there or there abouts. Do nothing and top 4 is our realistic aim.

Yes we can but we need January signings. We can close the gap. 6 points is nothing with so many games to play.

Yes we can. But so can 3 other teams as well. Will need some luck both on the pitch and with injuries.
It wont be decided during the festive periode or in January.

Easy to say we need new signings but a bit harder to actually get the right player in January.
We've been generally good in the January window so maybe we can pull an unexpected Suarez type signing out of the bag. Think we need that new spark of life going forward.
Doubt we'll sign more than 1 player though.

But, yes, we can win it.

I think our squad is rather thin at the top end and the period between now and the beginning of February is probably the most testing with 10 matches. If we can emerge out of this with a decent return of points and not too far off the top, and if we have no major injuries, then we'll be in with a shout of the top prize.

The worst thread ever.... CLOSE THIS SHIT DOWN. THIS GARY25 IS CLEARLY A BITTER OR A MANC TRYING TO PUT SOME VOODOO SHIT ON US!

Of course we can win it. We are fucking winning it. If you think otherwise you can fuck off.

Dont think there is anything wrong with asking if we can win it. If you're in 2nd place before Boxing Day its pretty obvious that you're in with a shout at least, if we can keep this up.

The next 10 fixtures in the PL below. Add 3 guaranteed cup games in between.

We come out of these 10 games between 3 - 5 points from the top of the table and we definitely have a chance, however this will largely depend on how we do against the top 6 teams especially at home i.e. City, Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal

Stoke (H)
Man City (H)
Sunderland (A)
Man Utd (A)
Swansea (H)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Tottenham (H)
Leicester (A)
Arsenal (H)

They aren't the same side we beat there though and to be honest being able to beat them doesn't really matter anyway.

The league won based on how you do against everyone else and Chelsea are doing a lot better than us and everyone else in that area. We'be dropped 10 points against Burnley, Bournemouth, West Ham and Southampton

Course it does, we have their vodoo at the min. Pat, of course, I get that. We beat them again, they drop some points and it's all square. There's nothing between us and they've had an easier run. I'd take a Klopp team over a Conte team any day of the god damned week.

Get some Cahones boys, y'all know a genuine title tilt is about to happen. Enjoy the ride.

We may win, we may not, but we're going to be in with a great shout.
