Blame for what? Doing their job?
For using us to get more cash from Chelsea.

It's not professional to say you'd join.. then change your mind when it goes wrong.

Anyway.. its over. He isn't worth 110m and part of me thinks we did it to shine a light on the dodgy dealings in the shed end.

We've been made to look like a bunch of fucking amateurs here. Sorry but we have.

Fucking around with Chelsea, dick measuring and now we've lost both players to them and all we're left with is egg on our faces.

Serves us right for being cunts.

The worst thing I can say about this is, is that it's something Everton would find themselves doing.

Obviously not the sums involved, but a similar kind of mess. You had to actively go out of your way to balls it up this much.

They used a bidder to get more cash from their preferred target. That is doing their job. They are an agent.

I'd agree if Chelsea signed Lavia too, however they won't.

Yeah, I don't blame them.

If we matched Chelsea's salary and contract length we probably would have got him, but those 8 year contracts are nuts.

Wouldn't be so sure about that Mystic, unlike us Chelsea aren't afraid to throw the money on the table to get deals done......we on the other hand like to put dumb bids in for players when we know the selling club won't accept anything less than what they're willing to accept.

Our negotiations the last 5-6 weeks has been fucking appalling, Jorg may aswell have sent the Kop kids.

Getting this Caicedo deal past FFP is gonna be difficult enough, unless they just don't give a shit, getting Lavia past it too will be impossible.

I don't give a fuck how we have been made to look. He would have been very useful to us, more useful than to Chelsea.

On to our fourth or fifth choice for no compromises Liverpool.

Again.. they don't give a shit. They don't think the Premier league has the balls to punish them..

Why should they?

City? Still no punishment
Everton? Still no punishment

Do you at least give a fuck we couldn't competently negotiate a deal for Lavia, a player we're supposedly highly keen on?

Engaging in this bullshit transfer war when we should've been focusing on new targets. How many more days are we gonna let slip by?

Do you really think we're highly keen on him?

3 separate bids in the space of 2 weeks? Prepared to spend upwards of £45m for him?

Yeah, I'd say so.

Did you see Klopp's post match at the end there when both Caicedo and Lavia were mentioned? Clearly players we wanted. There's no sweeping the BS under the carpet on this 1. We've failed quite spectacularly and I fucking hope whatever plan B now will be good enough, otherwise pretty quickly we'll find out this season will be nothing more than a write off.

give a fuck about the fact that we don't have a dm and the season has started, and it was our number one priority for the summer.

Number 1 priority according to who though? Not Klopp, not Jorg or anyone else at the club.....because they signed 2 essentially attacking midfielders. If DM was our number 1 priority why wouldn't we try for Caicedo in June?

& maybe if we hadn't wasted 2 weeks on Lavia and/or were competent enough at negotiating, we'd have had that DM in the door already.

We needed to buy those players too.

We were fine buying them, as they both had release clauses. Relatively simple.

The rest of the transfer window required us to be reactive and has been utterly shambolic. Im not motivated by embarrassment though. I want a destructive athlete in our midfield so the others can play, and so it's not so easy to run at us. I don't want to watch that for another year. Not because it's embarrassing, but because it's shit.
