Caice-d'oh!

Must admit I’m a little out of sync with other clubs.

I’m convinced if we get Caicedo to join us, we will be challenging for the title and one of the favourites for the UEFA cup thing.

I don’t think Chelsea have sorted out their striker issues and are more depleted than us in Midfield? I don’t think even with Caicedo they’ll get far and they have dobbed themselves in to FIFA re transfer dealings too

Chelsea are in a decent state. Just with a lot of unproven/new signings. Nkunku being out for a few months is obviously a blow, but Jackson looks very good

Chelsea most likely are trying to make us walk away from all this. Wonder if we will have the balls to just sit tight and hope our deal with Brighton is the one that is valid. If Klopp gets the feeling we are second choice then he'll pull the plug. Which is fair obviously.

& in this instance "majority of the footballing world" = Every single player, agent & any other beneficiary from Chelsea's riches.

Depending on what he actually told Liverpool and how he said it, I’d be walking away from him. In my view, he’s more trouble than he’s going to be worth.

I’m chosing to believe a Danish journo on this. Because its what I want to hear.

This actually makes sense from a Brighton perspective. If they let Chelsea back in then they lose credibility for ever setting a deadline in the future. Tony Bloom plays the longgg game.

At least, I hope so!!

Whatever happens, Brighton has made both us and Chelsea look like complete dickheads. I feel like we're 'all in' at this point. If Caicedo joins Chelsea then other clubs will jack up their prices and the market gets further inflated. Additionally, the amount of cretins on the internet praising Jorj for using Lavia as a smokescreen for our real target has made me wince. This has never been the plan. There's been no groundwork in place for this deal - Arsenal worked on Rice for 12 months. We likely had a 6-12 month plan to attract VVD. There's been none of that for Caicedo. It's all been lost in the turnover of Sporting Directors and it will largely be for that reason if we do not get this over the line.

All we've done is write off signing a CB, combined whatever cash we do have, and stuck it all on red 5 minutes before the casino shuts. Whether we come out winners or losers there's no doubt that this has been messy and uncoordinated.

I'd love for him to sign but not under these circumstances. He clearly wants to play for Chelsea. If Klopp, Macallister and co cant convince him then we dont want him.
Go and get that Brazilian kid and a new CB.

I think his agent has made us all look like dickheads. Bloom will probably want to honor a deal with us, hopefully.
