Bye bye Sadio

A Google search show 42 caps for Bosnia and born in former Yugoslavia. You’re shit.

Are you really this stupid, mate?

Can you spot a difference between a location and document? He has a German passport, you stupid fuckwit.

Wow, nice overreaction. The name calling truly underlines your "point".

And your point being that the likes of Javier Zanetti and Diego Milito are Italian and not Argentinian because they also have an Italian passport despite playing 170 caps for Argentina and being born in Argentina.

The clue is usually in how a person is presented. "The Bosnian" being used in this case which is probably a clue in which nationality he wants to be identified with.

Ok, let's do a quick fact check.

I referred to him as German.

Because:

He has a German passport. Check.

Because he lived in Germany for most of his life he tends to behave like a German. Check.

See? If it's still too difficult for you, feel free to ask. Otherwise you can do one now.

Actually that's bollocks. Just googled it and I'm wrong

The whole tapping up issue seems to have been give up on. Nearly every player leaving now has agreed terms with the new club before a fee has been accepted. Just another thing that has increased player power.

On the tapping up thing, it's my understanding that, in England at least, there's kind of an unofficial code where the prospective buyer will verbally inform the potential selling club that they're targeting a player. If the player's current club doesn't promptly tell the purchaser to fuck off then it's understood that the rules may be bypassed without complaint. Issues tend to arise if the selling club believes they are being screwed over or if they really want to keep the player and think they'd be able to do so.
In this case, Bayern are obviously boasting about it after the fact, once they've already got a deal in place, and they know we won't kick off about it.
I heard the reason we got into a mess with van Dijk was because Edwards (who had just taken over from Ayre) didn't (know he was supposed to) notify Southampton we were after the player.

'Too' is the word you were looking for, probably.

Words can be so confusing, eh?

You'll get there one day. Maybe.

As a German (I've been there 6-7 times) I can live with missing an "o" here and there in a language I'm not a native speaker in.

Makes me sad ... This confuses me though:

"Especially when [they sing] my name, ‘Mane! Running down the wing…!’ "

Isn't that Mo's song?

Haha! Yeah, noticed that. What about this stat for a goodbye to a great player:

Sadio Mané leaves #LFC with the best win % of any player with 250+ apps in the club's history:

S Mané - 65.4%
M Salah - 64.6%
J Milner - 61.2%
S McMahon - 60.6%
A Kennedy - 60.2%
M Lawrenson - 59.8%
K Dalglish - 59.8%
C Johnston - 59.4%
R Firmino - 59.3%
J Henderson - 59.2%

Offering his reaction to Mane’s departure, the boss told Liverpoolfc.com: “It’s a big moment. There is no point in anyone trying to pretend otherwise.

“One of Liverpool’s greatest ever players is leaving and we must acknowledge how significant this is.

“He leaves with our gratitude and our love. He leaves with his status among the greats guaranteed. And, yes, he leaves in a moment where he is one of the best players in world football.

“But we must not dwell on what we now lose, instead celebrate what we were privileged to have.

“The goals he scored, the trophies he won; a legend, for sure, but also a modern-day Liverpool icon.

“Since he first stepped through the door, he made us better. If someone had told us in that moment what he would go on to contribute and achieve for this club, I’m not sure it would have been possible to comprehend in that moment. Not the scale of it at least. Sadio made it all possible.

“To be that good for such a sustained period and continuously improve season on season – no matter how high he set his own bar in the previous one – is an example to any player anywhere on the planet that professionalism and dedication leads to reward.

“I respect completely his decision and I’m sure our supporters do also. If you love LFC, you have to love Sadio – non-negotiable. It is possible to do this while accepting our loss is Bayern’s gain.

“We wish him nothing but success in every match he plays in, unless, of course, it’s against us. His star will continue to rise, I have no doubts.

“I remember last season I was asked, in an interview or Q&A from memory, to describe Sadio in three words. I said at the time it’s not possible to do this.

“If I was to try I’d need to be allowed multiple attempts – because there are so many ways you can describe him using three words.

“World-class player!

“True club legend!

“Ideal role model!

“The perfect teammate!

“Compassionate, caring person!

“But the three words that feel the most appropriate today are also the hardest to say, ‘Will miss you!’”
