Maybe, but to be fair to him - He's a mahoosive philanthropist. He gives away an astonishing amount of money to causes that matter to him. Maybe he's not after the cash for himself particularly... I think you mentioned that earlier. I wouldnt at all be surprised if that's his motivation.

To be fair if he’s saying d he doesn’t want to sign a new contract and would prefer to leave this summer rather than on a free - he’s given his all while he’s been here and I wish him well.

Its’s as good a parting of ways as we’re likely to get - he can be applauded if he ever comes back with BM.

TBH I feel both Mane & Salah are being honourable. Mane because he forewarned the club giving us ample time to cover his position (and get a decent fee for him) and Salah because he is fulfilling his contract with us and he has every right to see it out and leave on a free (whether that suits us or not).

He's done things quietly, no drama, nothing.
Hope he rips shit up there, and enjoys the last few years of his career.
He's a legend of this club - and we'll always look back fondly on this Mane-Bobby-Salah trio.

It'll end at some point, fans will be all emotional but I'm glad the business team see sense and getting £40m for a player who has been here for years (we got him for 34mil?) and will slow over the next few years.
He's been a great for the club, big game player, won us the AFCON and I'll be forever grateful for that one of the greatest nights in modern LFC history. But we now have a replacement or two for him and Salah so I'm ok with this.

Came here for 34m, kickstarted our revival, got us 4th place, which enabled us to get everyone else in (Salah, VVD, Alli, Fab, Thiago etc), then proceeded to help us win everything with BIG goals in big games. And then instead of walk away for free/nothing, simply told the club of his intentions to try new things and allowed them to negotiate a fee 40 odd million, to actually make a profit on him, with only a year left on his contract.

^ This, 1000% - well said ibromurph. As someone said, it wasn't going to work down the center like it was down the wing. And making sure we get a transfer fee is amazing. Makes Salah look like a bit of an arse.

That’s because we’re going to have to pay all the Darwin add-ons very quickly and we’ll hopefully never see the Mane add-ons.

Some goals just stick with you, and for me the his debut goal against Arsenal just set the tone of the Klopp era, and he announced himself as a potential elite player capable of delivering in big moments. It quickly shut up all the comments that we had overpaid for another Prem proven signing.

The other find memory is the one way away too Bayern. It's beautiful.
