Nice ball by Lucas. Not the most accomplished of finishes there from Babel - got bit lucky - but fuck it, scored all the same.

Anyways, good riddance to Burnley.

That was an awful finish, and it still goes in. That wasn't the most convincing 4-0.

2-1 everton in extra time

He can't tackle, is scared of tackling, is scared of *being* tackled and therefore often moves the ball on far too quickly

This isn't a Dalglish-esque 'not on the same wavelength' type of quick passing, it's far too often 'I don't want to be tackled' quick passing, which is far from the same thing

Still, think what you like, and come back a bit later when you agree
Ive never seen a player who 'wants' to be tackled.

I have. One of them played for us in midfield for years. Name of Didi Hamann...? Remember him? Yes? No?

Invited tackles.

As do many very good players

Being scared of tackles isn't acceptable
Aye whatever.

Aqua got 3 assists playing behind the striker.

Not that I want to join the can't tackle debate, but I thought he had a very good game. Jumped into a few challenges aswell.

Stoke goalie has a suspected broken elbow. The second goal looked a bit two footed from Kalou if I'm honest. He had to go for it - but not with both feet.

Anywhere else on the pitch and that would of been a straight red.
Its not a debate. Its bollocks. The comparison to a holding DM is about as tenuous a link as you will get when trying to crowbar in a facet of his game that one could be dubious about.
He hasnt been used enough and when he has been used he has been....well in the most part pretty good. 6 assists and 1 goal in 6 starts attests.
I do agree with Brendan. He does look to pass it quickly. I just disagree with his reasons why.

Just a note on Burnley. Tough luck. Never nice to see a club getting relegated.

Why was it "tough luck"?

And why is it "never nice to see a club get relegated"? Newcastle? Man United?

how did ayala do today?
He did ok though you could see a couple of instances where the understanding between the central pairing could have been better e.g. positioning. I'm not sure why I always had the impression that he wasn't the biggest defender. Ayala's almost a head taller than Agger?!?!

Apparently, it's also ok for Liverpool to throw a match...
