Wijnaldum has indeed very quietly had an excellent game. I think this 4-2-3-1 formation is suiting him more than the 4-3-3 we were playing earlier. Fewer instances of him being caught out with his back to goal. He's a lot better when the action is in front of him. Plus he gives Henderson genuine cover.

Firmino has again been outstanding. Superb false nine-ing.

I always liked Steve Bruce. Seems a nice bloke, even if he does look like Mrs Doubtfire. Always takes The Kop abuse about the size of his swede very well

Boss first half. I do actually think we should have been more clinical though. Too many long shots & half chances snatched at, we could have crafted a few better chances & been six nil up at least.

I'm not complaining as such, but we won't always get this many chances so being more clinical when we do will help us against better sides.

Great to just sit back & relax watching us tear through them like paper though.

I really like Coutinho at the tip of the midfield three as well. Shown some superb playmaking at times.
