I dont think it'll be 2 million.

Is 2 million "Cut Price" for a 17 yr old?

Shit bit of business if true. There is something going on here......

As someone mentioned earlier, if we included a buy-back clause in the deal then we couldn't really lose on it. Of course, that's assuming that we had the good sense to do that, which is wishful thinking.

Elias has been going in and trying to unsettle a lot of the players he signed for us. Dalle Valle, Amoo among others. If you shake the tree hard enough something is bound to fall. Let's hope that this is the last of it.

You think this sale was sanctioned above Benitez's head?

You probably think he never wanted Robbie Keane either
No i don't Bren.

I do know that a transfer window where we've generated about £10m in sales is about to close, and as of right now we've signed 1 player (hence my comments).

Buy back options don't mean a great deal anyway. The player in question can still say no and move somewhere else, it just means the original club has to be kept informed.

We had a buy-back option on Barragan didn't we? Not sure if he is even any good or not but I'm pretty sure he has moved clubs since we sold him.

I'm sorry but if we get anywhere near 2 mil for him I will eat my own head. Caught offside is one of the worst sites on the net for football news. The fee is alot closer to 100k than 2mil.

From the offal. No mention of it being a loan move....................

German starlet joins Fulham
1st Feb 2010 - Latest News

Liverpool have announced that German youngster Christopher Buchtmann has joined Fulham.

The left-back joined the Academy in 2008 from Borussia Dortmund and was a pivotal part of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup final last season.

He was named among UEFA's top 10 stars of the future in May 2009 and made the move to train full-time at Melwood last summer.

He also featured for Germany when they won the UEFA U17 European Championship last year.

Liverpoolfc.tv would like to wish Chris all the very best for the future

Cue Buchtmann deputizing masterfully for Konchesky and scoring a belter on his debut in their next league game. And Rafa explaining some difference in spending and expectations that doesnt allow him to play promising youngsters until they mentally capable of taking all flair out of the game......🙁 fuck off this is an aweful omen for Liverpool FC

Oh, and Roy Hodgsen should really be Rafa's replacement come summer.

This transaction disturbs me more than the club failing to bring in a striker during the transfer window.

They also signed Nicky Shorey today...so I think he'd have a better chance of breaking into our first team than Fulham's, with Dossena sent marching earlier in the month, Aurelio injury-prone and Insua rather suspect this season.

Dunno if it's already been mentioned in this thread, but a mate of mine mentioned Buchtmann has been a 'disruptive figure' in the dressing room.

Just how fucking disruptive can a teenager get???

Oh well, what's done is done. Fuck him. Never liked Germans anyway, well apart from Didi and Babbel of course.

Don't forget Riedle.

Pissed off at this transfer as well, but it's weird to see a 1 1/2 year contract being offered. What were they thinking?

fulham beat barcelona and arsenal for his signature apparently.
he must have a mental problem, maybe that's the reason why we get rid.

Well, quite. Thanks for that well-reasoned argument Wilko.

Quit saying things I agree with. You've been doing that for a few weeks now. It's making things a bit uncomfortable.

😉

Only thing to be said is that Mavinga is a better LB than Buchtmann. And Buchtmann was out of contract at the end of the year. Maybe it has become necessary to trim the humongous youth and reserve squads.

Yes, we need to trim and I´m happy we kept our 59 goalkeepers.
