I agree that a manager, or the clubs staff that deals with transfers, must be able to wheel and deal. This is obvious and as plain as day. I do not agree that a manager from the lower leagues must be employed to do this.
I don't find it painful to acknowledge it if you're 100% right but you haven't demonstrated that
I don't smoke.
If you think no one can intimidate anyone on the internet then surely no one can really bully someone on the internet?
Once again, your accusational tone that posters find grating, has reared itself.

It's pointless and fruitless trying to reason with him. His arguments are flawed and he changes them to suit his own agenda, repeatedly, cf his argument here regards a lower league manager, ignoring the point that a lower league manager wouldn't have attracted the best players we have, like Torres and Mascherano. Ignoring that Rafa has, on occasion, come up with some steals in Agger, Yossi, Skrtel, Arbeloa, Garcia, Crouch and Aurelio.
Yeah he's made mistakes (is anyone even disputing that?), but his constant assessment that we weren't in for player X who's now doing well at another club as a means to beat Rafa with is both pathetic and transparent. He's on an agenda, he doesn't show objectivity or reason, he doesn't try to see other people's opinions or hold his hands up and say 'ok, I see where you're coming from'.
He's pointless and serves the forum no purpose other than sparking frustration and bewilderment, which ultimately ruins threads because he feeds off it. He drops a worm and we bite and he fucking loves it. And if the powers that be can't see that and continue to put him on some kind of platter above those who throw abuse around (let's face it, we're all big boys and girls here, and if you can't take a bit of banter and cyber abuse, then you're not cut out for it), then I really fucking despair for the forum.
