you need to read and understand what i said. we haven't got the money it seems so a key competency of our next manager needs to be one where he can haggle, do loan deals, player exchanges etc. managers that have managed at the lower levels have experience of this. this doesn't mean that they are now managing at the lower levels.

You might want to consider that "higher level" managers are more likely to keep the top-class players we have. I can't see Torres wanting to play for Steve Bruce as much as Rafa, even if he can bring in the likes of Turner for a couple of million less.

so nobody agrees that if we are a club that isn't rich in finances and can't go out splashing 20 million on every player we buy we shouldn't have as a key competency of our manager an ability to wheel and deal and make the most of our condition thereby transforming a weakness of ours into a possible strength.

who isn't disappointed by our inability to bring in exciting short term loan deals, player exchanges plus cash, free signings of players that bring quality into our team and a player for not a lot of money that turns out to be something special?

but yea go on, the usual half dozen want to dispute this very reasonable point and try and make it out that i've said something else and/or start attacking me personally.
