Given what's happened to the club over the last few years, there is little reason for anyone to feel anything other than dread.

Of course we'd all love for a vastly wealthy and benevolent owner to ride in on a red & white horse with oodles of cash for players and a a new stadium, but I don't feel too optimistic.

Exactly - do years of mid table mediocrity beckon ?

Ha. All I'm saying is it's so finely balanced as to which direction the club will fall - prosper or fail.

personally I think we wont sell the club this summer with the asking price so high, the loan repayments have to be meet meaning another sell to buy summer with not all of the money being reinvested into the squad, rafa and torres say 'fuck this for a laugh' and fuck off, a manager who is used to wheeling and dealing on a shoestring who would be estatic at the step up will be brought in, he is an absolute yes man. the sqaud is weakended further and we finish 7th again.

that's what I see happening this summer we'll see come august if I'm wrong.

No.

With whats happened at our club over the last few weeks, you've got to be pretty confident that new owners will be in place before the start of the new season. For them to make it work you'd have to think that they have the funds to get the stadium up and running, with a reasonable amount available for transfers.

Fuck the doom and gloom, that's what i'm choosing to believe.

Regardless of who takes over and who manages us, I cannot see us winning the league in the next 3 years, and I bet Gerrard feels the same. My ambitions have been lowered massivily after this season.
