All that's missing was a boner from the gaffa.

Pretty short sighted of you, ever heard of micro penis syndrome?

I get it, he was a huffy wee cunt even at FT with Jotas arms around him ... But he's needing that new contract and I'd be worried he'd take proper huffy cunt fit and leave on a free. We'd do fine at RB with Bradley I'm sure, but to not get a fee would be shite.

I like the fact that immediately after Slot had a word, Trent gave a little smirk, but then actually sat up straight and seemed to take the gaffers advice on board.

It was a trivial moment in my opinion, and Slot bossed it.

The order will change, but I'm betting the current top four will be the same at the end of the season.

Maybe it struck a personal chord for me as I can be a huffy cunt too.

Yeah he was decent, looked good on the chances going forward today. Arnes team have likey provided him with an Irn Bru infused inhaler for the season.
Either that or he didnt play much if any pre season so he wasn't quiet up to the pace of the game last week. 😉
I was worried that he might be past his best and not good enough for us any more.

Underwhelming 1st half again, with one or two moments of brilliance mixed into a whole lotta not much else going on. Credit where it's due, that's a cracking finish from Luis. Their big fella missed a header to put them one up by about two inches from the corner, then 5 seconds later, we're down the other end and wallop!!!

Like last week, a far, far superior second half, with some truly beautiful footie played at times. We might have had more, but once that 2nd went in, it was over as a match. Composed and controlled to the point of boring at times, it's going to take a lot of getting used to, but we're soooooooo good at flooding back when they break, and we're soooooooo much less fragile looking (mostly) at the back, I'll take the trade off.

Thought Gravy was fantastic again. Next week will be a much tougher test, but he's been great in both matches to open this season. Szobo was largerly utstanding, too, but three different times, he chose to not play the ball to any of a multitude of over / underlapping players, and took it backwards, rather than try to play us in behind them - That was frustrating, but I'm assuming that he's been told to slow it down unless he's 100% of the pass. We'll see.

Also, a top display by Robbo... Can't remember him having anything to do defensively, and a constant threat with his runs at the other end. Virg & Ibou very relaxed and reassured. Jota snarling and dangerous. Even the subs looked sharp and in tune when they go on. Even Darwin! Except for being offside and missing a great chance, of course.

Thought Mo looked drunk for much of the match, but the goal will be all most remember about his performance... And could really have done with the vice captain sulking like a fucking child at the end there. Really starting to dislike the persona TAA exhibits over the past 18 months or so.

MOTM: Diaz, then Gravy, then Szobo.

Not sure he's allowed to do that!

Yeah disappointing - and disrespectful to lads coming on.

So do we think slots personality will alienate some of the players who do need a little more love than most?

They'll be fine, I think they just need to get used to the Dutchness of how Slot communicates and handles things. The team has great leaders that can dish some of that love out.

Maybe Virge might play a key role in softening how some players take Slots words.

Looks like some of the players need to get over the fact that Klopp isn't there anymore.
Do you mean Trent? He'll need to, Klopp is all he has known since he was 17 - time to put his big boy pants on.

When you have that many players on their A game, you’re more likely than not to win. Excellent.

We do need to convert more of the good chances we’re creating, though.
We were a bit unlucky though. A couple of superb blocks and an excellent save.
