Strange he's a right fullback, does it mean that Johnson will be moved to left or start on the bench?
Would have made more sense to bring Jack Robinson who's left footed.

I also noticed that Mendy is in the squad, another right sided fullback.

Well, if you haven't noticed Johnson has been mostly playing as a left back since Kenny was appointed and has been doing a sterling job there too.

Well duh...
I thought Wilson would start on the left and Johnson on the right.
 
Wilson hasn't looked comfortable at LB so far and if we are going to play a kid in a match as important as this it makes sense to play one in his preferred position.
 
Getting a result against this lot the night after fucking Spurs made it to the last 8 of the Champions League would be nothing to braga about.

True, but we seem to do well against Madrid, Barca away from home, and i didn't want to put Braga in that category.

Not sure we could improve that side a lot. No Gerrard, Suarez available - Carroll on 20-minute shift. The only surprsie for me was Spearing instead of Ngog.

Based on Eggmongs previous attempts at a performance it's not a surprise.
 
Well, on paper, it looks horrendous. One of the least ambitious line-ups we've fielded this season, and with Roy in charge of us for half of it, that takes some doing. What's more, as SPAZ alludes to, it's got quite possibly the worst central midfield trio in the history of the competition.

Having said that, I've thought quite a few of Kenny's line-ups have been strange and unpromising, so if they perform on the night, then I'll gladly eat my words.

My God it looks shit though.

Not surprised to see Spearing start, but I'm very surprised to see all three of Lucas, Poulsen and Spearing in the starting lineup.
So I assume it's going to look like this?

I think we're going to be in for a long night. 2:00am game here and I'm starting to have flashbacks of a borefest from a not-too-distant away Europa League game.
