Boxing please

Watching Skoglund v Smith before the. GGG fight.

Decent scrap to say the least, smith landing a fair few & winning round four with ease, before Skoglund bloodied smiths nose & then continued to jab again & again to trouble it in round five.

Yes, well, once the fight went beyond round 10 GGG was always going to have to kill Canelo to get a points decision, even though he actually won by a country mile.

Anyone else watching the Fury (Hughie) vs Parker fight tonight?

Just watching the undercard, (Murray v Fagan, great scrap) pretty impressed with the YouTube coverage actually, fucking nice not having adverts between each round, & the 1080p stream is perfect (obv I'm not actually paying for it, it's from my streaming service).

Hughie Fury has just proven he's as retarded as his cousin, by choosing as his ringwalk music that goddamn awful pan pipe song from Titanic.

Fucking hell.

I caught bits of it. It was dire. Parker seemed to throw more meaningful punches.

Both are shite and a dozen HWs out there would KO these two.

Yep, it was utterly dreadful.

I was very impressed with the YouTube coverage though, same level of coverage, presenters, pundits etc, but not a single commercial break all night.

I fucking hate adverts, the only time I ever see them is during sports cos I watch everything on downloads which obv have them removed, so they seem to be even worse & more obtrusive when I'm forced to sit through them, & boxing is dreadful cos they try to squeeze one in between almost every round.

Adverts on PPV are a piss take. It’s like going the cinema and the film stopping every 20 minutes to sell you something you don’t need.

I've always felt the same about adverts on sky or virgin channels, people pay £50 a month to watch channels & they still have commercial fucking breaks. Madness.

Channel 5's boxing coverage is one of the worst for this, trying to sell you a jeep or a tub of protein powder every three minutes.

I'm not sure if that is better or worse than absolutely everything being sponsored in the UFC.

Live boxing on Sky from the Echo tonight... Anthony Fowler doing his business in fashion earlier and looking good.

Fielding v Brophy now and a great first round..fielding pounding him

Fielding looks ready to go up a level. He’s in that bracket below Groves and Callum Smith.

I’d like him to do in Paul Smith.

He got the fight against Callum tactically wrong and put himself 12-18 months behind with that loss.

Why is the Haye Bellew rematch on a Sunday?!

Just spotted that the date is a Sunday & thought I'd heard wrong but it's listed as Sunday 17th Dec everywhere.

Wtf?

I'd forgotten all about the foxing tonight. Pissed off cos wanted to watch Fielding.

I’m guessing it’s because the O2 is booked on the 16th.

With Bellew winning the first fight I thought they would be in the Echo but that’s full in December.

I was hoping they'd do it New Years Eve tbh. That'd be a boss night for ppv boxing as most people either want a quiet night in with a few drinks, are in a house party or in a bar or pub where they could watch it.

Rumours circulating that Pulev is out of the Joshua fight due to injury. It’ll end up Whyte fighting in his place.

It’s another PPV event which is taking the piss. The undercard isn’t the greatest either.
