Good first round from fury and now channel 5 seems to have turned off. Wonderful.

Larry Merchant was the highlight of the Mayweather fight.
He gives everyone a hard time, not just Floyd.
That's what Merchant's there for, surely? And let's say he had always been unfairly harsh on Floyd, was it even possible to be so regarding last night's fight? Floyd's punch was so cheap he got a free win with it. Merchant was right to call him out on it, and Floyd acted like a mardy child. He is incapable of dealing with anyone questioning him (see also: RA The Rugged Man, sonning of Floyd on radio).

Ortiz was dirty and got what he deserved. Blatant hed butt and everyone is talking about Mayweather? That's disgraceful and people are talking about sportmanship. Cheap, I don't think so.
The ref brought to the centre of the ring to restart the fight. They touched gloves which usually means game on and Ortiz got clocked because he wasn't sharp enough. That's down to inexperience. He should have covered up. Joe Cortez didn't see anything wrong with Mayweather's k.o.

Ortiz's headbutt was outrageous and he could have been DQ'd. But that doesn't excuse Floyd. It was obvious what was happening and as they broke away he threw the punch. Some people might that think that's okay. I think it's a cunt's trick.

Oh, absolutely, I don't know why they had a whole love in, but Floyd got involved in it. It's not like Ortiz was trying to extent the reconciliation and Mayweather opposed it. He knew what was happening, involved himself, and then took a shot on the way out. Should Ortiz have been defending himself? Sure. But did Floyd know exactly what he was doing? Absolutely.

Kell Brook was class again last night. He will almost certainly fight Devon Alexander who won Bailey's Ibf welterweight title last night. That will be class. The more I see of Brook the more class he shows and he is in amazimg shape. I hope he knocks Khan's head off one day.

I didn't see it, but it sounds as though he needs to seriously invest in some threrapy.
