Sorry Count I must have missed this post.........no, at Blackpool he was an attacking CM'er. Blackpool play a very expansive game and most of their midfielders (bar Ferguson) get forward at every opportunity. Shelvey was very evident in-and-around the opposition penalty area when he played for Blackpool but for goal kicks etc he resumed his CM position.Could have sworn that Holloway talked about playing him in a more advanced role.
We are not talking about him being the striker though
