Surely that's the end of him at the club? Can't believe he has fucked up his dream job so quickly

Have a look at the Red Sox and what's gone on with them and media leaks.

Chang is doing his job as FSG would like

Just a suggestion but there is another thread opened re Duncan Jenkins.

Its a bit annoying seeing new posts in the "Borini" thread only to find that they relate to something else.

Yeh I wish people wouldn't take threads off topic

All you need to do is like the SOS facebook page.

Sorted.

Then you can go around and lord it over the rest of us because you saved the club.

It's like the time we all watched that video on Kony as saved all those kids from Uganda.

Italy doctors say Fabio Borini already had fracture when he left Liverpool, we explain

The stage is set for disagreement between Liverpool and the Italian FA following an injury to Fabio Borini. It was thought the forward injured himself during a training session with the U21 side and as such Liverpool would be entitled to a payment from the Italians to compensate them for the loss of the player whilst they are paying his wages.
That situation could hit a hiccup because there are reports in Italy, and now England, that it was an old injury sustained against Manchester United rather than a new one he picked up whilst training with his country. Italian news agency ANSA claim that an CAT scan and an MRI showed a previous fracture of the scaphoid in his right foot.
The scaphoid is often referred to as the navicular (see image on the left) and a fracture sometimes doesn't result in the pain you'd expect from a normal broken bone, meaning it can be carried and subsequently get worse.
Sometimes it doesn't even show up on an x-ray and only a full bone scan, like what the Italian FA have done, can bring it to light.
The Daily Mail are also carrying the story and say that the original injury was picked up in the defeat to Manchester United. If the Italians believe the fracture didn't happen on 'their time' then they're going to refuse to give Liverpool a compensation payout. Naturally, it's a wonder why Liverpool didn't pick up the injury themselves - if the Italian FA are correct - but it can easily be missed and with a new player trying to prove his worth he's of course been eager to play as many games as possible.
Recovery time varies (Physio Advisor) but Borini will probably have to keep weight off the foot for between 6 and 8 weeks and then gently work himself back into full training, meaning he'll start preparation for his return in December, obviously depending on the seriousness. That would point to a January comeback if all goes well and may calm the club's need to bring in a transfer window replacement.

Fuck! Whoever suggested Shelvey as a striker - why play someone who is starting to flourish out of position?!

I still don't know.

I don't read the fucking drivel you lot post on here.

Can someone give me a brief idea of what's happened?
Ha ha! SCM's has been so much 'win' recently.

Mate to fill you in It's all about Shelvey and how he is going to be the next England captain. Duh! 😉

That's boring as fuck.

I know, I was taking the piss out of your earlier response as he played where for Swansea in the Championship? Up front - not on the wings, where he's not as dangerous.

He's not playing on the wing now, to be fair. He's playing the left of the three striking positions, like he did at Roma. I don't really buy into it, anyway. In a 4-3-3, all three strikers interchange. When they close down, they're often dragged right or left, or drop deep. There's plenty of room for everybody.

Being a few feet left or right of centre isn't an excuse for not scoring. Playing a few games, in a new country, league and team, however, is a pretty decent excuse. Time is what's needed with Borini. I think his movement is great.

Roma, from what I remember last year, played him up front or in a 4-4-2. So he was more central. With Rodgers, he plays closer to a 'winger's position' than centrally imo. That takes away from his effectiveness as he's not a brilliant dribbler, and struggles to beat his man at times. He does however have brilliant movement (as he's showed countless times) and finds himself in the right spots to score goals more often than not. I'm confident ... but we'll have to wait 3 months to see if I iz right.

He was definitely a left-sided striker for Roma, but it doesn't really matter; I'm definitely in agreement about his movement. Just needs a goal or two, and some confidence, and he'll be on his way. I'm actually really confident he's going to be a good player.

I think he will too ... but my track record ain't great unfortunately! 😉

He has my full support as I like his movement. I would like to see him in a more central role, as others have said.

He seemed to lack a bit of confidence out wide for us in his first few games too.

Out of interest, what major difference would 5 or 10 steps to his right make? I mean, if his role in the team was as a winger, where he was getting white chalk on his boots all game, I'd agree. However, there has been quite a few situations where he has been central (from a left starting position) and missed a shot. He's not a winger, just a striker.

I love the way we've got a confidence in youth, but if they're going to be in the team and we're going to push up the table, they both need to start chipping in with goals and assists. I love Suso and think he's going to be utterly brilliant. I think we might be rushing them, though.
