Re: Blackpool

I'm liking the 4-3-3. I think it suits our squad at the moment.

CloneI should play over CloneII, but it's barely worth even mentioning. That side should be capable of beating fucking Blackpool. If not I will cry.

Re: Blackpool

Much better team.

I've decided that if we win tomorrow no matter how ugly it may be I'll be extremely optimistic about our chances of enjoying a great Season despite the grey start. For at least 14 days.

The thing is a lot of the supposedly best teams are dropping point again this Season and nothing is even remotely over in terms of our chances to enter the top 4.

Come on you mighty Liverpool, tear Blackpool apart tomorrow and lets build momentum.

Onwards and upwards.

Far better IMO than him, Skrtel and Greek alongside eachother in a 3-5-2 formation. That could've been potentially horrendous watching for Liverpool-fans.

It'll be Johnson, no?

Re: Blackpool

I'd rather Carra play LB.

Johnson had a good game the other day and I don't wish to shunt him about and ruin any chance of an upturn in form.

Carra's good enough to fill in, although we're going to grossly lack width on the left hand side, but then what's new there?

So do you think he saw the reaction to his first team on here and changed his mind? I'd like to think so.

Re: Blackpool

There's a time for tactics, controlling the game, nice patterns of play etc.

This is the time, however, to simply tell the players to go out and give the opposing side a fucking good stuffing.

Botton three in October? FUCK THIS SHIT.

Yup me too.

Let's face it, despite Brendan laughing at Whad's comments, they're true. We've played absolute shit the past two months. The players are well aware of this. Despite this shit, we can still be so close to the top 3? Big win tomorrow and we may have a team that can actually come into its own slightly.

I won't lie and say I'm optimistic tomorrow, but this team is desperate for a win. Anything to boost their confidence.

COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS.

Re: Blackpool

So... "penis formation" again :-

Reina
Johnson The Greek Skrtel Carragher
Poulsen Gerrard
Meireles
Cole
Kuyt
Torres

... smashing

Re: Blackpool

A win today and we're just 4 behind the scum.

Obviously it's a shit place to be at the beginning of October, but it's nice to know we aren't the only ones struggling.

What are you lot on about?

3-5-2 with wide midfielders who like to get forward rather than attacking fullbacks. That's a defensive formation?

I'm with Fabio and Sheik. The rest of you are mental.
Let's revisit this after the game.
Or not, as it would seem.

Quite. It's extremely early days at the moment. New manager, new players, new systems, new training, etc. I've started having concerns about Hodgeson, but, at this stage, hoping we'll lose so Roy's fired is just pathetic.

I'm confident things will improve before long.

Re: Blackpool

Jesus, what a depressing thread.

At home to a newlt promoted team and we expect a defeat, or at best a draw.

3-0 to us.

Re: Blackpool

It's not that black and white though is it?

We have been playing like shite, conceding stupid goals, not scoring cause we can't create chances if our life depended on it and our players look lost.

I'm not holding my breath for a emphatic 3-0 win with great attacking football any time soon.

It's a extremely crucial match so early in the season. If we win we're 2 points of 4th when the international break kicks in, which leaves the lads thinking it's not all doom and gloom. If we don't win we're in the fucking relegation zone and all looks as positive as Black Adders life philosophy!!

So excuse me for the lack of optimism. Let's hope the boys turn up for once.

On the other hand, Blackpool must think that this is the best time as any ever to come to Anfield and get a result. And no one would put it pass them.

Re: Blackpool

Well, this thread's made me soooo happy.

For what it's worth, I do think we'll beat them. I think we'll put three past them actually.

I'd be stunned!

Re: Blackpool

Holloway has said that he is going to attack us which should leave some gaps to try and exploit. If they came and parked the bus then i'd be worried that we wouldnt break them down but I have high hopes for this one. 4-1

Re: Blackpool

I'm actually looking forward to this game. I think thats mainly due to the fact that i'm confident we're going to dish out a humping today.
