But he hasn't got two attacking full backs at his disposal.
what if i told you he meant for the full backs to play as part of the 3

Re: Blackpool

I feel a bit sorry for Roy. He gets lambasted for his boring one dimensional tactics, tries something a bit left field and he's crucified. He can't win (pardon the pun).

He still hasn't got two full backs available to him wherever you want to play them.

Re: Blackpool

Are we absolutely sure Liverpool hasn't already been taken over... by a central midfielder syndicate?

I'm very worried about how slow that back line is, but there is a lot of truth in what you are saying. He can win by winning though, which would be just great.

Will probably be updated later onight with news that he slmmed the door to the postboks over his own fingers and are out until further.

Classic.

Just can't see it at all. Someone's pulling Sheik's plonker.

Re: Blackpool

I don't like the look of that side at all, but I guess it can't be any worse that what we've tried so far.

I quite like the look of that team although it would be better with Johnson at right wing. It's like a trident formation with Deadly, Portugal and Cole pronging forward while Lucas and Poulsen sit back and sweep up.
Yeah, I know. Two defensive midfielders at home to Blackpool.

At least play Johnson wing back.
This is outrageous.

Roy has lost the plot after 6 games?
I don't think he ever had a copy of the plot, Dave. He's like a film director desperately trying to improvise a Hollywood blockbuster, despite only having experience in pantomime. ,

Well it's something we've become accustomed to Del from Rafa's days. At least this formation looks slightly more attacking.

Re: Blackpool

Bar the pucas, I don't see how that team can be criticised

If he's going to play wing-backs in a 3-5-2 Sheik, he's not got a single excuse on earth to omit Johnson (the one player who the position should really suit.)

Re: Blackpool

But he's not playing wing backs. He's paying wingers

Really? The ultra defensive Hodgson is suddenly going to play 5 attackers with a huge gap behind them on the flanks?

No chance. You see how they'll line up.

Re: Blackpool

is johnson injured? if we're playing 352 he would be the wing back of my choice on the right. oh and no way is he playing joe cole as a left sided wing back?

that cannot be the formation. if it is grandpa has clearly lost his marbles.

Re: Blackpool

What are you lot on about?

3-5-2 with wide midfielders who like to get forward rather than attacking fullbacks. That's a defensive formation?

I'm with Fabio and Sheik. The rest of you are mental.
Of course it is. I posted it yer cheeky fucker.

Re: Blackpool

I hope we get beat, and the budgie-faced old twat gets fucking booed out of Anfield

Having said that, we'll still win

I can't tell if you're joking any more, MM. There are five players in that team who will do nothing but stand still in the middle of the pitch (in our half) and pass the ball sideways and backwards to each other. It's not so much defensive as stillborn. It's the most ridiculous and ill-thought-out Liverpool line-up (excluding obviously weakened sides) I've seen since that Reading away match when Rafa put Crouch on the wing.

Hopefully they'll play like Brazil 70 and make me look like an idiot, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

cf the other thread about Jovanovic, we play defensive football, obviously, that's what it equates to, being unable to pass the ball.

MENTAL.
