Roy Hodgson Facing Left-Back Dilemma At Liverpool Following Martin Kelly Injury
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has worries about the left-back position ahead of his side's game with Blackpool this weekend.
First-choice left-back Paul Konchesky is struggling with a hamstring injury, Fabio Aurelio is still absent with an Achilles problem, whilst stand-in Daniel Agger is set to miss out with a groin strain.
Martin Kelly filled the position against FC Utrecht on Thursday evening, but he is now himself doubtful with a knee problem he sustained in the goalless draw in Holland.
"Kelly has got a slight problem with his knee so that could be another left back out for us," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"I don't know how bad that is so we'll have to wait and see."
The Reds will be boosted by the return of their skipper Steven Gerrard though, after the England international sat out the game against Utrecht.
"On the positive side though Steven Gerrard will be back and we'll be raring to go on Sunday," Hodgson confirmed.
