Big D vs Twitter

I'm not sure if I'm just being ignorant, but is the US unique among western countries in that it's just accepted that close elections are gonna end up in the courts?

It seems like everywhere else they just do a recount and job done. What's the justification for involving the fucking lawyers?

Can't believe so many bleeding hearts are shocked that Trump is going to win. Did you not speak to your nan for the last five years? She's on Facebook saying the Taliban paid Corbyn to get the IRA to harvest babies for Biden.

had a brief look at demographics in the remaining states - males, and older people lean trump, particularly older people.
also protestants.

Not sure why, but it seems to be a cultural thing that lawyers run the US.
Everything gets dragged to court.

In other countries, other professions like economists, engineers etc define their country in, but laywers rule in the US.

It would be interesting to hear some observations from people living in the US on this theory.

'so sue me' ... things you learn as a 14 year old immigrant to NY ...

A ginger legion of doom.

I'm normally one for not giving a shit about these things, but this is a little bit in bad taste. Even for me.
A little?

She's a fucking dickhead. I think a lot of people have now realised she's a murdering fucking psychopath who got away with it on some shit technicality like O J Simpson.

Just had lunch and have checked the odds for the first time in an hour. Not sure what's happened but..............Biden is now odds on to win! He's 1/2 and Trump 2/1.

Trumps lead in Michigan has dropped with lots of votes to be counted still.
So Michigan and Wisconsin both edging in fav of Biden atm

This is the country where someone took McDonalds to court because their coffee was too hot.

Wisconsin just took a bigger swing to Biden. Georgia & Michigan getting closer.

I think it's going to be a complete reverse of the 2016 election. Biden will win comfortably but on razor thing margins in the same few states.

The country is run by lawyers. The vast majority of politicians are lawyers.

A - Why did the Beeb get Neil back on after he ripped them
B - Why is Farage on, He's such a twat

I know. But surely there must still be some at least nominal justification?!

I mean, what grounds do they cite for not accepting the very simple process of counting some votes?

Because that's the critical difference... There is no single way of voting or counting votes. Each place is its own feifdom and there are no best practices. Voting itself has been made highly political so as to disenfranchise votes folks don't want.

Because you can use lawyers/money to get away with things in general, so why not try it on here as well?

Biden looks likely to get michigan, wisconsin and arizona.

I think the margin is too great for the outstanding pa vote... But it will be close, as biden is winning a massive majority of the mail in vote as his voters are not in denial of a pandemic.

If biden could win georgia, that would be of real significance to the various recounts and bullshit to come, and it's not out of the question. If trump gets michigan, it's probably over.
