I encouraged my wife to get over to see her family. We had been to see her mom in Florida in February.

Had planned on not going to Maine for the rest of her family during the summer but she went.

Who knows what sort of state it'll be in come next chance we are able to go over. Feels a bit hyperbolic to say that.

Maybe that's what it'll take for a reset. The hyperbole, from both sides, has built and built. Backed by expensive media consultancies who are stoking the flames.

That's what I thought too, you also can't really tell if he's tightened it or went to open it and realised his mistake.

They're scrutinising every last move for signs of being weird or losing it, just like what the other side were doing with Biden.

As long as Trump feels the pressure ratcheting up I don't mind how it's done. He's got to feel his every move/word is under the microscope
 
Six point lead gone in three weeks. Still leads in the swing states as far as I know but the momentum has shifted big time, and after last night Harris will probs go a couple of percent ahead.

I think Harris just needs to seem like the adult in the room and she might persuade enough people to vote for her. I don't think she'll persuade anyone to not vote for Trump, but she might persuade enough people who weren't going to vote to change their minds.

The vids above are what was broadcast by c-span but it was at the annual National Association of Black Journalists convention... Like that's where he chose to question Harris' ethnicity. Even fox commentators were freaking out.

He took it again later on and opened it. It was just a mistake as the conversation was all to the left of his seat.
 
That's not going to work though - "could have" will be, er, trumped by "did" and (rightly) nobody's gonna give a flying one about the timing. Given that Harris has already been doing well in the swing states, bang goes the assassination factor (pun intended).

You underestimate the toxicity of America politics.

Trump should be no where near that ballot paper with the things he's said and done. Yet almost half the American population will vote for him regardless.
