Medical opinion changes when more scientific data becomes available that clarifies or adjusts your position. That's the whole point of science. It's apolitical. It doesn't matter whether you believe in it or not. It's objective truth based on the best possible information. So in a situation where scientific data is rapidly aggregating and coming in every day, you would, in fact, expect Fauci to change his opinion over time.

Any suggestion of trying to question something that doesn't seem right or add up, and you're ostracized and shunned from society, labelled a racist, anti-science loon. Science constantly asks questions and tries to disprove previously held assumptions until they're undeniable. That's not what's been happening over the last 18 months or so.
