Just noticed they both scored tonight, if they were both on a free in the summer who would you rather have on playing ability?

As someone tweeted earlier Ings has 4 goals less than the best player in the World at the moment, Kane.
Yet he gets no credit or is being talked up in the media.

Dont get why people say he's meh either.
He's better than Borini, Lambert and Balotelli.
His pressing and work rate would suit us perfectly.
Got the skills and goals to add aswell.

I hope we sign him.

Going by those stats it looks like Ings is a bit more of a worker and creator too. I'd go Ings.

Although meh..

I do think Ings would be a good bench option to have..

He offers goals and work rate. .

He would fit in well in our side

Kane meets the criteria for the media hype train, hes white, English, born in London and currently playing in London. I assure you if Ings was playing in London he'd be getting much more hype right now, just look at Charlie Austin a few weeks back, unfortunately London mania is symptomatic of the whole nation, not just the football media.

The Kane hype is just setting everyone up for a fall, the guy will inevitably fall out of form, and the pressure will drag him down, but the media must have their next English superstar poster boy, even if it complicates their development. In that regard Sturridge has been rather luckily that hes been criminally underrated by everyone outside Liverpool, we have a genuinely world class striker in prime age, yet many pundits would rather a kid who's been playing good for two months takes his place, truly baffling.

Who underrates Studge, all the build up to the match on Tuesday was about Englands strike force for next round of matches.

I vote Ings too. Berahino's talented, but I don't see him as far ahead of Ings and there looks to be a bit of an attitude problem there as well.

Sturridge has always been underrated in England, I bet you'll see lots of people wanting to see Rooney and Kane starting upfront at the expensive of Sturridge when the next qualifiers come around.

I know that as long as forward scores goals it doesn't really matter how he does it but I do like the look of Ings stats re: his goals totals i.e. 3 header, 4 right foot and two left foot as opposed to Berahino; 9 right foot and one header. I likened Ings to Aldridge recently and wouldn't be surprised if Aldo had a decent return for goals with either foot and in the air.

England could have found a new "golden generation" of forwards here....Ings, Kane, Berahino and Austin all seem to have the potential to score goals at international level.

Really haven't seen enough of Danny Ings but the concern would be that he's a Ricky Lambert type, stands out in an average side but simply doesn't have the class to step up and make a big contribution at a higher level. On the plus side, he would provide work rate, a threat in the air (which we badly lack) and a decent finisher, plus he is a different option from the other strikers.

Berahino seems to me to have a higher ceiling, young, confident, very quick and the physique to go with his natural ability. He would be perfect to step into Sturridge's shoes when the inevitable injuries arise and perhaps put pressure on him to perform more consistently.

Said it before but I would love to see us buy both Ings & Berahino at the expense of Borino and Balotelli, we would have a hell of a strike force then with Origi arriving.

Very meh about either, TBH.

Berahinho has a bit more 'star' quality about him and I think he'd fit better into the side, but neither are proven or top draw, and given the options we have at the moment are Sturridge or a 19 year old winger, I fear that's what we need.
