Ever since I heard him say that he "dreaded" penalty shootouts I've thought he had a terrible mentality for a keeper...point proven
 
I was going to say it was a shock that someone so young would 'retire' from international duty - then I realised he is 28. I always considered him to be young!

Haha. Indeed. It is rather embarrassing when fringe players announce their retirement from an international team they are not in anyway.

I guess he is hoping that Capello will call begging him to reconsider. I suspect he will be waiting a while for that one
