Battle for 4th

I think Conor McGregor put it more perfectly.

Everyone going on about our mentality... How about the fact that we've just gone to two of our biggest rivals and knackered their heads right in straight off? I mean we played both Arse and Spuds off the park, those squads are gonna have the fear in front of their fans now... and rather than just gaining 4 points we've taken 3 off Arse and 2 off Spuds.

Yeah we had a shitty result at Burnley, but hopefully they'll use that and learn from it. We could quite easily be sat here with a single point that we won at turf moor if you looked at form and stuff prior to the season. But no, we got results at two of our main rivals, were unlucky not to win at Spurs and managed to get beat after having all the play at Burnley. When this shit clicks teams are gonna get bummed all over the place by us.

"Fuck your whole team. You’ll do nothing. Shut your fucking mouth. You’ll do nothing. You’ll do fucking nothing. Not one of you will do nothing. Get the fuck out of here."

I remember the days when Liverpool fans could maintain a deluded sense of optimism deep into the season despite the team playing badly and pissing away points all over the place. We've looked pretty epic at times in two of the toughest away games in the league and there are some real reasons to think we're going to be a very good team. Pretty sad showing from Gary25 and chums.

Sign of the times I guess. But it's time to get back on board. If I can't be deluded about our chances, there isn't much point

We've also played 3 away games, two of them away to the teams that finished 2nd and 3rd last season.
A few of these other top teams have played two home games already. Just look at City, Chelsea and Utd 3 first games, not to difficult yet the media are jizzing all over the place.

To early to call anything and we've done well bar Burnley. Fuck that game still annoys me.

That's exactly my point though. One of our our greatest mental frailties is our inability to put a great result behind us and 'go again'. When we click we can beat anyone but most of our players seem to think once they've done it once, that's it, they've made it. The mentality Jose and Pep will bring to Utd and City will see their sides eek out close wins against their rivals on a Sat/Sun, then follow it up by twatting Burnley on Tues/Weds.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is to see things as they really are. The scum are now managed by a petty narcissistic shitbag prone to having breakdowns and tantrums at the drop of a hat. I think it's more likely that he'll be painting RED RUM across the boardroom table with fists full of his own shit than winning the title by May, and over the way there you've got that mekon headed anal retentive hairy toothed melt, offering the academy kids some tiktaks as he winks, emanating the warm stench of alioli mixed with jizz in his new pair of vans that he's ironically wearing, the reference to van, being the automobile of choice of the child molester.

Fuck all that shit. We're gonna win the league.

In fairness, it will pain you to learn that Klopp is the one getting picked out of that police line-up every single time were there to be a child molested anywhere within a hundred mile radius of Anfield.

I love the optimism, love it. But can't sign up this season despite no Europe.
I've said Chelsea will win it and still think that without Europe they will. City will run them close. United are nowhere near as good as they, or the press, think they are. We'll finish 3rd.

If we had bought De Sciglio (sp.) and Dahoud I would be in but we are two players short this season.

Regrettably I don't agree about the Mancs. Them 4 signings of Bailey, Pogba, Miki and Ibra has added proper starting 11 material quality to them. Yesterday they were able to bring Miki and Rashford on and both made an immediate impact...Rashford ended up getting the winner. They have some great options and depth now. Can only hope Europa takes it's toll and a few injuries kick in etc.

Can't see us winning it but then nobody saw the champions doing it last year either.

If someone said to me we would have 4 pts at the start of the season after Spurs and Arsenal away I'd have been very happy.

Our chances at the top four come down to one man for me.

If Mane stays fit we will make it.

If he gets injured we are stuffed.
