Early days etc etc etc...but Manc bastards, Chelsea and City look strong. Very fucking strong so would it be fair to say it's between ourselves, Arsenal and Spurs for 4th spot??

As much as I sometimes like to talk up our chances of challenging for the League and believe me deep down I still have that lingering hope...but realistically I think I'm content with us aiming for 4th this season at least. That in itself will be very tough. Spurs are still a strong side and won't be far away, and Arsenal are Arsenal...been there and done it and it looks like they're signing two new players at least before Wednesday.

Fuck this League is depressingly strong now isn't it [bcolor=rgb(253, 251, 248)]🙁[/bcolor]

I don't think we're in the race imo, we're going to struggle badly to beat the lower sides AGAIN.

City Utd Chelsea Arsenal

Another 6-8th place for us i'm afraid until we address the defence and midfield.

We're gonna win the league.

Ten games in last season everyone thought Citeh we're gonna walk it. We've got four points from a difficult start and are playing as well as anyone. Manure have had three easy games and the press are jizzing their kecks and you're shitting yours.

Fuck that, we're gonna win the league.

The left back thing is going to cost us any chance of top 4.

You can't afford such a defensive liability if you want to be challenging at the top end of the table.

Whilst Burnley was a right kick in the nuts last week and a worryingly familiar outcome against relegation fodder, it's one game.

After Leicester we have Hull at home and Swansea away...so we'll be able to assess things more then in terms of how we cope against the smaller teams. I'd like to think it's just a matter of battering one of them and we'll be much more confident against those sides.

The two Manchester teams are miles ahead of the rest I think. We'll be competing against Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and perhaps one or two more for the other two positions. Really hope Arsenal miss out for once, it's about bloody time. I reckon it will be Chelsea and ourselves that will fill the top 4

Ha. You said this last season though...do you really think we can win it?

I don't think we have enough. I imagine we will finish somewhere between 5th and 9th.

The title is going to be fought out between Utd and City. They have the strongest squads in terms of talent and mentality and their managers are winners who know exactly how to get the best out of their players. It'll be nip and tuck between them and Sky will turn it into a 'Battle of Manchester', Jose v Pep wankest. It's going to be excruciating for the rest of us but we'd better get our heads around the inevitability of it.

As for us, nothing changes. We might finish 3rd, we might finish 10th. We'll be enthralled one game and thoroughly pissed off the next. We'll win when we weren't expected to and slip up when we shouldn't. It's started already.

We will win it this year.
We look excellent in patches.
With Can in the team and a new LB it will be epic.

No Europe and a daddy manager gives us a good chance of fourth. We won't win the league until we do actually get huge investment and spend big.

It will take a miracle for us to make top 4. I'm predicting 6th.

Quite apart from the fact that there are better squads than ours we just don't have the mentality to win it. Nowhere near.

Everyone going on about our mentality... How about the fact that we've just gone to two of our biggest rivals and knackered their heads right in straight off? I mean we played both Arse and Spuds off the park, those squads are gonna have the fear in front of their fans now... and rather than just gaining 4 points we've taken 3 off Arse and 2 off Spuds.

Yeah we had a shitty result at Burnley, but hopefully they'll use that and learn from it. We could quite easily be sat here with a single point that we won at turf moor if you looked at form and stuff prior to the season. But no, we got results at two of our main rivals, were unlucky not to win at Spurs and managed to get beat after having all the play at Burnley. When this shit clicks teams are gonna get bummed all over the place by us.

Put me in there.

People giving out about the Sky mancfest whilst having a mancfest themselves. Fucking hell they've played Bournemouth, Southampton, Hull, Sunderland and Stoke between them, and were hardly impressive apart from maybe City v Stoke .

Moyes won his first four matches!

Woland is spot on. Bunch of women on here giving up after 3 games.

I remember the days when Liverpool fans could maintain a deluded sense of optimism deep into the season despite the team playing badly and pissing away points all over the place. We've looked pretty epic at times in two of the toughest away games in the league and there are some real reasons to think we're going to be a very good team. Pretty sad showing from Gary25 and chums.

I still think we will win the league. Wait for the cunts playing each midweek. Fuck Chelsea they needed two last minute goals from a player who should have been sent off and suspended to get two of their victories.
