Barrett saying we've bid 32M for Alex Teixeira...

The amount of time and space he's afforded in that league is ridiculous. He'll obviously have to adapt to the greater pace here, but he's a clever player.

I don't think it will be a real issue as long as he can bring his Nitro Boots.

Douglas Costa has literally been flying past defenders all Season for Bayern like as if they weren't even there. This lad seems to possess the same insane explosive pace.

It seems Klopp is initially intent on sorting the three behind the striker as a route to making the team as a whole more of a goal threat.

A Coutinho-------Firmino------------Teixeira would be pretty tasty with Ibe/Lallana as back-up.

If so, the links to Long (as a short-term solution) make sense. He'd stretch defences and make space for the three far more than Benteke or an unfit Sturridge.
Good, because the lack of output from those three positions is our biggest issue Imo.

Neck on the line here but being told #LFC have actually agreed on a £24.5m fee rising to £29m with Shakhtar Donetsk for Alex Teixeira. #lfc

Plenty saying it's pretty certain he'd struggle for a work permit (no Brazil caps) but we're confident of an appeal.

Never seen him play but heard good things about him, that said heard same about frim and its taking him time to adjust.

Ukrainian Premier League top goalscorers this season:
Alex Teixeira (22)
Yevhen Seleznyov (10)
Pylyp Budkivskiy / Andriy Yarmolenko (8)

OK, does anyone know anything about him beyond YouTube?

Is he fast? Where does he play? Because it does seem as if we will have more no. 10 attacking midfielders than any other team on the planet, and he plays behind a striker at his current club too, and always has.

We don't need another attacking midfielder, although it does look as if he's better than any we currently have, so that's good.

Sounds like his scoring rate has gone up since he dropped back deeper. Would he be more likely to take Henderson or Can's position than Lallana or Firmino?
