For all the stick he gets, much of it deserved, Mourinho is quite capable of losing gracefully. He was obv.absolutely pig-sick when we knocked them out in the semi on the way to Istanbul, but he went to every Liverpool player to shake their hand and came over to the home fans to applaud them. He's certainly more than capable of acting the complete @rsehole, but there's more to him than just that.
Hmm, he also said 'the best team lost' and constantly moaned about 'the goal that wasn't' for the next five years. 'Gracious' is possibly pushing it.

And the only reason he shook everyones hands was to bait Gerrard again, that was right in the middle of the Gerrard 'tapping up'

If THAT was what he was after he'd have shaken Gerrard's hand only.

It's true about his subsequent griping, but which of us hasn't swallowed their disappointment to congratulate winning opponents on the day and then moaned about it when asked afterwards? Does that make us bad losers?

but who cares, really? even if he was gracious on the night, he's just as often been disgracefuly childish, so it doesn't really prove anything. his behaviour after inter knocked out barca last season was about as pathetic as it gets - funny, i suppose, if you hate barca and like jose, but, looked at objectively as a manager of a great european club, completely pathetic.

New age clough.

As long as it doesn't boarder on being unsporting a la the cl red cards, I think he's fantastic for the game and find it hard to begrudge him any success to gets.

Incidentally you'd think jose'd be a bit more gracious towards barca considering he spent some time there with sir bobby.

That's only half the story though. They've been very sniffy about him since those days, unofficially nicknaming him "The Translator" at times, which is the reason why he rubbed it in so hard when Inter beat them.

i know that's the 'reason' but it's absolutely zero excuse. what he did is practically the definition of childish gloating; graciousness would be rising above the insults with a bit of dignity. what did he do? run out on to the pitch, arms aloft, deliberately baiting their supporters.

give me a break.

No argument there, and I remember at least one article speculating that this kind of thing helped lose him the race for the LFC job after GH went (he'd already done much the same when Porto beat the Mancs, though I couldn't help enjoying that a little). The man's no saint, plaster or otherwise. All I've been saying is that he's not all bad, which I stand by - and, as a club manager, he's incomparable.

I actually think that was the main reason why Mourinho was ruled out; and it was definitely juvenile.

There's very little about him to like; except the most important thing, unfortunately.

I don't see why Ramos is perceived as a c***, he's one of footballs nice guys.
Nice guy? He's already tied Madrid's record for red cards by one player, and a 'nice guy' doesn't shove 'nice guys' like Xavi after almost trying to break Messi's leg ... He's a baaaad man Neets.

I don't think it means he's a 'cunt' either, though. I'd have done the same.

That hasn't helped his case, has it?

He's a defender, one who darted off playing at the top level at a young age, and he likes a tackle, which you don't get away with much in La Liga.

He apologised for it, and to both of them personally. He's a very active UNICEF Ambassador, he's a good guy in my book.

That's a good quality. So he's quick to anger, but quick to cool down and realize his mistakes. Ok, I'll take him off the C*** list. But Iverson stays on it, deal?

This feels like a great victory, I'm sure Ramos appreciates it. And he's close friends with Torres and Reina: see, great guy.

Yeah, I know how to quit when I'm ahead. Poor Allen Iverson, so misunderstood.

So, after trying to snap Messi's leg, he apologised..? Oh, well that's ok then... Robbie Savage used to do that too. And Joey Barton.

Yes Whaddapie, what he should have done was insist he was right, pulled out his gun an shot Messi in the head, that would have proven he wasn't a c***
Oh come on, he's hardly Barton or Savage
They wish they were as hot as Ramos

If he was a moron though, I wouldn't like him. The fact that he's a good guy is what makes me see his inner beauty.

*smug about the slick recovery*

Just like Floyd Mayweather ?

You take that back Oncy.

Erm no Ross, they're different. Floyd, like Iverson is just misunderstood, he does
make it hard to defend him sometimes though.
