Poor the Ramos though
Why? He's a cunt - killing Messi, pushing Puyol in the face and shoving Xavi in a 3 minute period? What a cunt.

Couldn't be arsed to watch the game but I'm fairly sure there were some more cunts on show?

Messi, Ronaldo, Ramos, etc.

A world football cunts expo.

ha ha - that commentary is beyond stupid at times ...

Last week Ronaldo blabbered about, 'Let's see if Barca can score 8 against us' ... 5 ain't bad Cristiano, eh?

Biggest loss in Mourinhos career. What a game by Barca though, pure class.
LOL that's pure class.

Did Jose give his post match interview yet?
Yeah. He was amazingly gracious. 'We were very very bad and they were fantastic.'

Had he said anything else he had looked downright mental mind. Nothing else to do than take that one on the chin - even Mourinho had to accept that.

But he did try to brush it off as "just a defeat" and nothing disgraceful/humiliating.

For all the stick he gets, much of it deserved, Mourinho is quite capable of losing gracefully. He was obv.absolutely pig-sick when we knocked them out in the semi on the way to Istanbul, but he went to every Liverpool player to shake their hand and came over to the home fans to applaud them. He's certainly more than capable of acting the complete @rsehole, but there's more to him than just that.

And I'd take him as manager tomorrow.

Agreed. He's not even a cunt, in my book. More of a whiney, petty little bitch.

This.

He'd be a fascinating bloke to have a chat and a pint with... It's all an act. There are far, far inferior managers out there that are far, far more up their own arses than JM is.

Pep Guardiolas antics last night was pretty poor btw.

Top-managers at a bare minimum should be more respectful towards the opposition than what he managed. I for one can understand why Ronaldo wanted to hit out at him.

Messi's pass for the 4th goal is, quite simply, one of the best passes I've ever seen. Majestic.

Reminds me of Peter Beardsley's pass into Aldo's path for our 2nd against Forest that magical night. Only it's not quite as good.
I thought Nando's swivel scoop pass into the path of Maxi vs Spurs at the weekend was right up there. Not the Hollywood ball or the slide rule defense splitter but great thinking and execution. Too bad Maxi didn't finish, would've been replayed for ages.
Wonderful, instinctive pass that you're born with - it can't be taught - for sure, but I'd have both of these ahead of it myself... Not that there's any shame in that.

It's not possible to be more up your own arse than Mourinho is, judged by his normal antics. Infact you'd be so far up that you'd look straight out of your own nostrils if you tried.

mourinho was weird that night. i've still never worked out why he turned up looking unkempt in a tracksuit rather than his usual immaculate overcoat, it was like he knew they weren't going to win. seems a peculiar thing to focus on, admittedly, but i found it striking.

Loads of cash, woman, success and gets to play ball every day? Why should he stop?

Anyways lots of players would've reacted when beeing mocked like that. It's.. human?

Cruyff did it once to Laudrup at his first game at Camp Neu after his move to Real. Laudrup only glanced back at him but it was equally provocative.

He may have shook everyone's hand, but 5 years latter and he still hasn't stopped bitching about the "ghost goal". A gracious loser might have conceded that if the ref hadn't given the goal Chelsea would have been down to 10 men with a penalty awarded to Liverpool.

Erm.... I don't really expect him to comitt suicide just because I don't like him, mate. I don't really even want him to actually die.

And was he being mocked? Or did Pep just not give him the ball?

Refugee - fair point, and you'll notice I didn't say all the criticism of Mourinho is unjustified. What I am saying, though, is that this isn't anywhere near as simple as "Mourinho = cnut". Like Whaddapie, I reckon that much of his behaviour is an act and that the real Mourinho is more complicated - and essentially better - than that.

I know you weren't mate was just pointing out some good reason why he'd be stupid not to breath.

Didn't Pep pretend that he wanted to give him the ball then only for him to throw it to someone else as Ronaldo reached out?

I don't care one bit about Ronaldo to be honest, I don't like him. I just don't think it was suitable for Pep to act like that. He was also bitchy during a Champions League game of late mind and certainly not as classy as I would've thought.

I think so too, Jules.

I also wonder whether Madrid will have the patience to let this relatively young but talented squad grow into a proper trophy winning machine. Given their history I find it hard to imagine they will.

I'd hate to see Jose take over from Fergie. It would piss me off so, so much.

As much as I think you're right with your assumptions about Mourinho acting like a cunt - whilst actually not beeing one - he's still 'a cunt' because we actually don't know for sure whether he's not a cunt after all.

*feels dizzy*

Anyways, I don't really like him, but no-one can argue that he's good entertainment.

"Entertainment" is an interesting term to use in connection with Mourinho. I'd agree that it applies to his off-the-field behaviour, sometimes at least, but it wouldn't apply to his usual brand of football and for that reason I think Squiggs has a point in wondering how the Mourinho/Real relationship will work out.

Another characteristic of Mourinho is that the man wins titles wherever he goes, and that's why I'd sign him up in a New York minute. I'm fed up of waiting for another manager with that particular attribute to come along.

I'm not really that arsed whether or not Mourinho acts up to 'deflect attention from his players onto himself' or whatever horse-shit his disciples claim he does (he does do this, and there's undoubtedly method in his madness - but let's not pretend he isn't hugely narcissistic, because he clearly is), no, what I care about is that he is an obvious winner, and I want to win the title.

Fair enough.

Personally there was a point where I despised him more than almost other hate figure on earth (excluding murders, rapists, Carol Vorderman etc), but I've come to tolerate him now that I don't have to see him every week.

Mourinho tends to win titles with the most resourced team in whatver league he's in. I doubt he'd be a success at Liverpool and I think he knows it.

Disagree. It takes more than just money, as Mancini's busy proving at Citeh, and Mourinho's achievement in winning the CL with Porto showed he can upset the financial odds too. There are no guarantees in football, but I'd at least expect us to get back into the top four - possibly even with the current squad - were Mourinho in charge.

KopKing probably still thinks Benitez is a better manager than Mourinho. Which would make him a wretched, mad creature, who deserves our pity
