Hero's to Zero's...........

It was not long ago we were hailing Barca as a club to admire, great players great set up, and not sponsorship bitches.

To which I subscribed myself , until they started coming apart at the seams a little culminated in shafting us for Mascher, when everyone realised they were no better than Real Madrid, or any other big team

Agreed. Recent player antics aside Barca aa superb example of what football should be in terms of clubs fans and style.

Some of fans come across very cuntish and childish at times.

Exactly.
And BTW, if made to chose I'd still take them over Madrid any day.

What have they done that has made the everyone's favorite second choice club?

They have purchased some of the most popular names in world football and have played pretty football, but then so have Arsenal/United/AC Milan/Inter/Real etc....

Liverpool carried that torch of pass&move football with style and effectiveness for nearly 40 years! I hope we can get back up there...
 
I like them because they were founded by 2 Scousers, that their club colours are taken from a Liverpool school's rugby kit, for what the club and fans had to put up during the Franco years, how they were shit on by Real who were in collusion with the dictator and their proud independant identity (something Scousers can relate to).

I wonder how much "influence" the government really did have over Di Stefano ending up at Real over Barcelona. The whole affair is pretty mad when you look back on it now. Even more so when you consider that he is the best player in Real's history and helped them to 5 of their 9 European Cups.
 
Barca and Real's popularity is evident but so is their classless behaviour.

Their imperious attitudes and derogatory comments about us has made me resent them.
