The way I see it, we were baiting him throughout this whole thread.. i've posted some spectacular hyperbole here, on other threads I saw he was watching, just to wind him up after last night's.. to his credit, he kept his composure, and last night was pretending to be blasé about last night's defeat. Obviously, he's woke up this morning and the magnitude of the defeat has struck him. He's then come on here and the consistent baiting has finally caused to bite.. then when he does, we ban him? For me, it doesn't make sense. That's all i'm saying. There was plenty of fun to be had, yet he'll go away thinking.. "ha, i managed to upset them".. and i don't like a Manc to think he's got one up on us.

It was inappropriate and disrespectful in a much wider context than Michael Shields. I also thought he was ok last night, but he stepped way over the line today and the decision taken to ban him was the right one. Liam did it because he saw it first. If I'd seen it, I'd have done it. Both of the other owners who have logged on since have agreed and I've no doubt the others will too. We don't want to upset any of our other members with decisions we take but that needed to be done, simple as that.
