Yeah, I think the Ferguson example is apt, cos he used assistant managers for tactics & coaching a lot more than managers do now.
I've never really understood why a manager in this country feels the need to try to be jack of all trades, by separation of responsibilities it insulates them from ultimate blame a lot more than their current approach as well presumably being a lot easier to manage on a daily basis.

Achtberg??.. Yay!!Apparently it's Marsh, the goalkeeping coach and a couple of others to be announced. Part of the plans put in place was to bring in a mix of experienced backroom staff and people connected with the clubs past.
