Re: PRE-MATCH THREAD: Arsenal vs Liverpool

Yeah, boss. Sixth row behind the corner flag, good atmos all game. We walked from Euston and back coz Google Maps said 2.9 miles. I normally get stressed doing the tube and trying to hail cabs, never knew it was only a 40 min walk.

That's cos that tube map isn't to scale, you can get three trains to a station using three lines only to find its a ten minute walk from where you started, despite being 'miles away' onthe map.

Re: PRE-MATCH THREAD: Arsenal vs Liverpool

The weird thing is I've always given myself two hours to get to euston from arsenal coz of the traffic and all that... When it's just up the frickin road

Good thing was some dude I know got us into the student union on holloway road and it had a boss beer garden, dead quiet, just round the corner from the ground

Harry Beck who designed the London Underground "map" based it on an electronic circuit diagram. It's a diagram not a map and doesn't show the relative distances between the stations. 🙂

this was for the handshake, right after the second penalty the whistle was blown so there was no restart

that is fantastic, FU wenger

Re: PRE-MATCH THREAD: Arsenal vs Liverpool

BTW look at Eboue celebrating their penalty award. When I saw that last night, I was thinking bloody idiot and hoped we'd be able to stick it to him if they missed.

Alas, Reina failed to save and the chance was gone.

... but it ended up even sweeter as the cigar blew up in his face. HA!

HAHAHAHAHAH

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that game ended. I LOVE Kenny Dalglish so much for telling that petulant wanker to piss off. Near perfect ending!

Wenger's reaction, or lack of it, was interesting. When he's had confrontations with other managers he's not let it go easily, but instead has gone on and on about it both at the time and afterwards. Yesterday he just walked away, and even in the post-match interview he was pretty brief about our peno, by his standards anyway.

Don't mess with the King. 8)

Wenger's touchline behaviour is actually worse than Ferguson's. The FA ought to discipline him again.

Spearing, Flanagan and Robinson got a lot of love on MOTD. Nice to see.

Its funny how Kelly was the great new young fullback and now a month or two later we have flanagan and Robinson.

Great to have but can we find some wingers in that academy please not just loads of defenders

BTW, is our goal the latest goal ever, must be up there

Wenger's reaction was the usual petulance. He wears his heart on his sleeve and can't contain himself. He's not going to change now. Neither are Arsenal, they'll continue to be left complaining while he's in charge. His best days are behind him.

RTE radio this morning described the after match exchanges as Kenny telling Arsene to taks a visit to the toilet

There were some games earlier in the season where some players didn't look 100% committed to the cause, like they didn't *feel* it as much.
I'm glad to say that has changed and the majority of players are looking like they really care.
Skrtel being one, Meireless praying with his back to goal when Van P took his pen.
I also love the fact that after knocking his capt out sparko Flanno was given a talking to by his manager.
I also love the fact the manager told Wenger to piss off, love it. As has been pointed out above in the gaffers go crazy bit at the end Wenger was in the face of 2/3 differet managers. He is really beginning to lose it.

Just got that deja vu feeling.

Raheem & Sterling is the same person, Dr Mac did this in another thread. Weird.

Raheem is an amazing winger. Sterling isn't going to make it IMHO.
Ahem.
