It would be anyway even if Arsenal did win today. They didn't play like a team that believes they can win the title. I'm pleased for us because we didn't deserved to lose.

You're probably right about the title, and I agree with the rest. I'm a Liverpool fan first and a ManUre hater a distant second.

What a finAle. Remember the team we were playing with. I just love the fact that spearing, flanno, Robinson, did so well. Jonjo was ok. Nobody perfect but great mentality building result..with no gerrard, carragher...be happy!

I don't mind them trying to be impartial - it's what they should be. I mind it when they try too hard and call EVERYTHING against us, as Redknapp has done at times and Lawrenson regularly does.

I know he's been our bane in the past, but today I was actually glad to see Arshavin come on, as Wilshere going off meant we had more room to play in midfield, and it showed as we got more possession, took it to them more and relieved the pressure at the back. Feared the worst when Sotos came on, but Skrtel was a rock and kept his performance up even after Carra went off. And then of course, there's Bendtner coming on to help our cause further. Excellent.

As in the previous game, the team out there played with the heart and spirit of champions. Lucas and Spearing worked 3 shifts, while the two young fullbacks faced big name players and never flinched. Each one collected a souvenir after the game - Robbo took home Walcott in his pocket, while Flano took back Arshavin in his.

Stand up and take a bow, Lucas and Spearing. Truly gritty and outstanding work in the middle today. They continue to build up their reputation and value. Excellent.

I know it's just a draw, but it felt so much like a victory today.

Good post. Kenny and Clarke seem to be slowly turning Skrtel into a player we can rely on.
