Isn't Lucas due a rest? He's played every game this season and made a couple of trips back to Brazil and played in the fixture that followed unlike Mascherano.
 
He travelled to Brazil but he didn't play any games.
Any chance of Lucas being rested probably ended when Mascherano got sent off.

Weirdly, I was excited at the prospect of Gerrard playing CM with Kelly RB and Johnson right of the 3 with Kuyt central and Benayoun left against West Ham.
 
I think there is a possibility Stevie will get 15-20 mins towards the end, if his injury has improved, just to see before the game against Fulham. Likewise I think Aquilani will get some minutes under his belt.

Couldn't care too much who plays for us to be honest, wouldn't mind getting a look at a reserve that we haven't seen, but that's probably unlikely. Would like to see Kelly again actually.

wouldnt play Spearing, they will completely dominate him

i'd go with Aquilani and Lucas, we have to start him some time and this is a good game for that. Kelly was injured last week so Degan will probably play. Pacheco should have a free role and take the free kicks
 
I don't think so, but no doubt someone will slot Darby in at right back like they do every time, when clearly he's not gonna play.

Would anyone take the carling cup, third place and the mancs not winning anything this year?

It would be nice to win a cup. Wouldnt be a disaster of a season.
 
Vorinin probably shouldnt play if he gets that excited again when we score, he might have give himself a heart attack.

Would be good to see how N'gog works with a strike partner in a 4-4-2. Is he quite slow? I find it hard to judge on what ive seen.

Yes the carling cup is pretty worthless, but the actual day of a cup final is fun regardless.
