This is tough because ideally we'd want to give some of the first-teamers a rest, but all our squaddies are playing as first teamers anyways right now.

Already? Does a Prem red-card transfer into a suspension in the next upcoming game no matter the domestic tournament? That's lovely if true then he's available for selection come the weekend?
 
Well done, Degen, for overcoming your latest mystery poorliness. Looking at him on the bench yesterday I couldn't decide if he had a weak tan, was in the grip of jaundice or had been re-drawn by The Simpsons. An utterly bizarre footballer.

He's nowhere near match fitness / sharpness. I'd put him on the bench, but that's it.
 
Lucas is gonna be rested.

So expect Spearing and Plessis to start.

Cavelieri, Skrtel, Voronin, N'Gog, Babel and myself are certain starters.

Arsenal will be up for it, their first teamers are under more pressure to win something than us and their 'talented youngsters' always step up on nights like this.

A win would be great, however I've no problem writing the CC off, especially given our wafer thin squad.

and hopefully gerrard makes it too.

i'm off to this game with a group of arsenal fans, plus one other LFC fan. we're sitting above the away section, so it'll be pretty tough restraining myself from joining in with them.
 
I doubt you'll see Gerrard, mate.

Benitez would only risk him if was under immediate pressure to deliver a trophy.
 
The amount of reshuffling that goes on with these games makes them pretty much a lottery these days. Does anyone have any idea who might play for Arsenal? There are just far too many doubts to allow one to plan a suitable LFC side, other than in terms of giving a few fringe players a run out. I wouldn't want to see Aquilani, mainly because he needs at least a couple of full games in the ressies first, but also because so many of Wenger's players seem to be capable of spectacularly clumsy tackles - it's like a team of young 6 foot seven Paul Scholes! Pacheco though has earned the right to play. No one's in more need of a chance to impress.

Be aware Peter that, the Arsenal stewards are pretty over zealous when it comes to away fans in the home section. Show yourself to be an LFC fan and you do have the serious risk of being thrown out. Regardless of the fact that your mates are all AFC.

My Arsenal season ticket, supporting mates have seen plenty of away fans thrown out for next to nothing at the Emirates.

I don't think El Zhar's ready after the lay off he's had. Irwin deserves to play a role at some point. he can play right back, left back or right midfield. He's one of our most promising home grown reserves.
