The strongest rumours seem to be around

CB: Cahill
LB: Enrique
DM: Matuidi
LW: Young

You'd have them of course. But wouldn't you rather have, say, Subotic, Cissokho, M'vila and Hazard. We talk about baby steps and how it's necessary to compete for the top 4 again before competing for the title. But surely the thought process of the backroom must to address these positions long term. Sure, the financial outlay might be a little higher, but chances are you'll have a hell of a side in a couple of years.

Chances are that we're going to see the foundations for our team for the next 5 years being laid out this summer. If so, I want them to get it absolutely right. Not very confident that's going to be the case. Are you?
 
The only solid one there seems to be Young, the rest is just speculation Mish, we've been linked with a few left backs for starters and Enrique has plenty of potential to be a top player.
 
Is it purely speculation though? Comolli's dropped as strong as a hint as you can about Matuidi and everyone seems to be talking about Enrique as nailed on. I'm not convinced by either by whatever little I've seen . They'd improve us (given that we don't have a LB or a DM of note) but I'm not sure that's enough. I certainly don't want our side clogged with players, who we find in 2 years, are not good enough for a title challenging team.
 
I really don't see the point in getting worked up one way or the other based on a few rumours.

Let's just wait and see what happens.
 
Well if you had said at the start of the season that we'd have acquired luis suarez in january i wouldnt have believed it. As long as the team is strong enough next season then ill be happy, I couldn't care less about individuals any more. Although giving our performance in January's window i wouldn't be surprised if we have a few better quality targets than the ones mentioned but we probably wont hear about them given kennys behind closed door policy. All the current links are after all just rumours.
 
I would certainly hope so.

The thing is I'm not entirely confident these are rumours. Mark mc dropped a hint about Young in January. And Enrique link has come from Thommo and is coupled by the fact that Newcastle have been reported to be actively in the market for a left back. Matuidi has been talked up by Comolli himself.

From what I've seen, yes. Though BM would probably give a better idea. Certainly seems to have the tools to be a success in the PL.

I think the Young offer was real ..... however that was January and this is now so it doesn't mean we will still go after him.

Enrique - again it could be true (Thommo) or it could be bollocks or even deliberate misinformation (what are you going to do ? Shoot Thommo for misleading us) ?

Others - nothing but rumours. Whatever happen on the INBOUND front I think we will be pleased - it is the OUTBOUND front I'm worried about !

"If" they are our targets i'd be gutted. What would rub salt in to the wound is that that lot would cost around £50mill!
 
As long as we don't spend 20M odd on lower-table premiership plop like Enrique and Adam, I'll be fine.

Somebody who can execute a proper stepover would be fun for a change. That video of yer man Neymar had me sticking my finger up me arse.
