Are we spending 150m on Bellingham?

if we just buy bellingham, we'll still struggle. We need two young midfielders to partner either fabinho / hendo / thiago ...
Yep.

This isn't just a 1 man fix any longer, complete rebuilding job needed no thanks for FSFUCKINGG

Id be more worried about Momo whacking me to get my wine than if I was wrong in my mystic predictions.
I’m keeping the hell away from your fizzy shit. I’m off wine this month. I have a lot of Liverpool Brewing Company beers to get through.

Bellingham talk is the "Opium of the masses" , the guy will end up going to Real Madrid where he will win titles. They can afford to pay him £300k plus per week, we can't and shouldn't.
Regardless we need a MF in Jan, I'd like to believe @StevieM and be proved wrong but we don't have the funds for the "right" MF. There might be a loan deal the club could get done, who knows they might get someone who isn't injury prone (unlike Melo or Kabak).

An acceptable deal will present itself this month.

Trust me.

We absolutely should... there are few players I'd say we should... Bellingham is one of them.
Fernandez... no

The one to watch is still Caicedo for January though, and perhaps Kone if he really would be let go for €50m.

I can't help but think if he wanted to sign for us, he'd have done it from the off. Signing for Dortmund is an indicator you're looking to maximise your next move, particularly financially. I can't see us paying £100M+ and £400k a week which is what I'd be looking for if I was his agent. Klopp has made a point about us taking more of a chance with signings and I think this is what he means, earlier bids for the likes of Jude and the lad who plays for City. We're not in the frame for hoovering these lads up when they're massive assets, City, Chelsea and Madrid are.

It’s more like signing for Dortmund at 18 and being as good as he is, means he’s maximising the opportunity to play consistently at a very high level - if he signs for Liverpool aged 17/18, there’s no way he gets that playing time.

Its’s well documented that he was courted by every major team in England and that his father and mother (who I think moved to Germany with him) are a major influence in his life and the decisions taken were to maximise his potential rather than profit.

It’s we’ll know that Dortmund will sell their best players and re-invest in young players - Red Bull and various Portuguese teams seem to have a similar strategy - they can offer Champions League football, consistent finishes near the top, good coaching and the promise of a big money move of your choice when the time is right.

I still can’t get my head around some fans and this nonsense that we can’t compete for top transfers - we can and we have in the past - Alisson & Van Dijk we’re world record signings is their respective positions), but we will walk away from deals when things get stupid - things haven’t got stupid for Bellingham yet - even at £120m he’s arguably worth it - and we absolutely can afford it if we want to.

Signing for Dortmund is an indicator you want to maximise playing time - without that the next move is moot.

I have a feeling there is A LOT of smoke and mirrors happening around this deal. Hard to say who is actually a serious buyer and who is used as bait to increase the price.

Ancelotti: Bellingham? I'll stick with what I've got
Carlo Ancelotti has cooled talk of an imminent Real Madrid move for England starlet Jude Bellingham, by saying he is happy with the young midfielders he already has.

Real have been linked with a move for the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder, but Ancelotti is satisfied with the likes of Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelin Tchouameni.

"There are a lot of youngsters, like Enzo [Fernandez], and a lot of midfielders who are coming through, some of them Spanish," Ancelloti told the press.

"Bellingham is one of them, but I'll stick with my midfielders, who are very good, especially the youngsters, like Valverde, Camavinga and Tchouameni. We have a lot of young players."

Interesting with Marca reporting that Madrid were leading the race to sign him a week ago.

Either they just make things up (intentionally on Madrids behalf or just to sell papers) or Madrid have accepted defeat and they’re going with the United/Nunez play that he’s too expensive, never really wanted him and not that good anyway. Ancelotti saying that would suggest the latter.

Ancelotti almost quoting Klopp there: “we have such-and-such, tell me what kind of midfielder we’re missing.”

I mean he's not lying.. all he's saying really there is he won't sign him in January.

You've got to watch the eyebrow...if it wondered.. he was probably hiding his true intent..

Translation - he’s going to Liverpool and there’s fuck all we can do about it, so we’re going to pretend we were never really that bothered.

All we every do is get linked with Quality players like Bellingham and the club is forever unwilling to spend the money, so we end up with the less a quality player then the supports trumpet on about how well we have done in the transfer window and how great and top class the player that we have bought (shaking my head side to side)
How many time have we got to put up with the likes of a AOC ...??

Just spend the money and sign the player.
He wants to sign for us, and we are just going to dick around untill he goes elsewhere like we always do.

We need to get rid of FSG and get owners that are really willing to invest in the team, and not try doing it on the cheap
